CHAPTER 11

Ang buhay ay parang panahon lang kung maituturing,minsa'y tag-araw,minsa'y tag-ulan,kung minsan ay paambon ambon lang,sa madaling salita — pabago bago.

Tulad na lamang sa nararanasan ngayon ni Jane.Kani-kanina lamang ay puno pa ng tuwa at galak ang puso nito,kasama ang taong nagpapasaya sa kaniya,ngunit sa puntong ito,magmula nang pinuntahan niya si Paolo gaya ng napag usapan nila,haharapin na niya ang katotohanan at hindi niya alam kung ano ang magiging epekto nito sa kaniya.

“Handa na ako,maaari ka ng magsalita.” Mahinahong sabi niya.

Nakasandal si Paolo sa puno ng niyog habang masusing pinagmamasdan si Jane na tila'y nababalisa,panay ang pagkagat sa labi at paghinga ng malalim.Ngumiti siya rito kahit alam niyang hindi ito nakatingin sa kaniya.

“They dated for three years,on their 2nd anniversary,Jea announced to us that she was 3 months pregnant.Everybody was shocked.Her mom wanted them to get married as soon as possible but they weren't ready yet,which made her mom disappointed but later on she accepted their decision.They moved to United States and hide it from the media.Markus had a project that time so he had no choice but to comeback,and that was the start of everything.”

Dahan dahang pinroseso ni Jane ang mga sinasabi ni Paolo.Liningon niya ito nang tumigil itong magsalita at nakita niya kung paano nag iba ang demeanor ni Paolo.

Galit at sakit ay makikita sa expression nito.

“I reached out to him because Jea kept calling me asking his whereabouts but he was nowhere to be found even his manager knew nothing.Few months later I saw him in a club — making out with his former co-star.I wanted to break his face but I know I couldn't make a scene.I felt the guilt killing me when I talked to Jea cause I can't tell her the truth.She's about to give birth and stress is not good for her and for the baby.”

Sa mga sandaling iyon,bumuhos ang luha sa mga mata ni Jane.Hindi niya mapigilang masaktan para kay Janella at sa hirap na pinagdaanan nito.

“I was there when she gave birth to Trevor,I didn't know Markus followed.He apologized but didn't tell anyone about what truly happened.He make up for the times he missed and Jea was fine with it.They let the public know about their son when they came back here and people,especially their fans were happy with the news.They were okay,I thought Markus learned his lessons and accepted his responsibilities but it turned out to be the opposite.From my point of view,it's because of his fame,the things he used to do and get,he sometimes miss it,and he's a heartthrob,maybe his alter ego wants him to prove that he can still do those things and Jea knew about it,so she broke up with him but then her mom wanted her to have a complete family,it forced Jea to reconcile.Until the last break up happened,Trev was rushed to the hospital because he got sick,Jea cancelled all her appointments,postponed her concert to take care of her son but her lovely boyfriend was out there,hanging with his friends,drinking himself to death,totally forgetting his responsibilities behind.That was when Jea made her final decision,and no one can ever make her change her mind,even when her mother tried and those people who don't know the real story.”

Natapos nang magkwento si Paolo ngunit si Jane ay hirap paring tanggapin ang lahat ng nadiskubre niya.Malayong malayo ang katotohanan kumpara sa mga nasaksihan nila.Ngayon ay naiintindihan na niya kung bakit nagmamatigas at ayaw ng makipagbalikan ni Jea.

“Pero nong nakaraan,nakita ko silang nagyakapan,anong ibig sabihin non?”

Dapat ay tanong lamang niya ito sa kaniyang sarili ngunit nadulas pala ito sa kaniyang mga labi at narinig ni Paolo.

“Don't mistake it as something else,they're co-parenting and Jea is civil with him.She's the type of person who forgives easily but that doesn't mean she will let someone in her life again to do the same damage.”
