Chapter 15

As I made my way down the hallway again I got a few looks from girls with my new look, I swear I even heard a few phones click from pictures but I just smiled and continued on my merry way. That was until I ran into Yeva "Oh hello Y/n" she says before noticing my new look "Okay your asking to be hit on with that get up!" She says "Maybe, just remember you can look all you want. But I'm a taken man" I say "That you are, but you have no right to get mad anymore if girls hit on you" she says "I know, it's why I still have decent clothes to wear on the days I don't want to be hit on" I say "Well where are you off to anyways?" She asked "No wheres in particular, just walking around" I say putting my hands in my pocket "Oh alright, I was about to head home for a little while. Care to chat over a few drinks?" She asked "Mmm no thanks, I've had more then enough mistakes involving drinks" I say "I'm offended, you think I'd try to get you drunk to sleep with you" she says "You wanna hear my track record? Uzi and I got into a fight and I got black out drunk as a result which later turned in us breaking up before we made up a few weeks later, then at the party Uzi got drugged while drinking so I'm avoiding liquor as much as possible. It always leads to a problem for me" I say "Hmf!" She says before storming off. I rolled my eyes and just continued on with my walk.

I eventually found myself in the school area walking around the hallways when I saw a group of guys around Emily who looked uncomfortable. They slapped her books out of her hands before another took her glasses "Hey give those back!" She says jumping up to try and get them but she was shorter then them. She jumped again but this time a guy grabbed her skirt pulling it down, she dropped to the floor as they all laughed and looked at her while she tried to cover herself. I got over to them and grabbed one picking him up "Give it back!" I say. He dropped her skirt so I tossed him to the ground, I looked at the guy holding her glasses and didn't have to say anything as he tossed them to her before the group ran off. "You alright Emily?" I asked as she was still covering herself. "Y y yeah, t t thanks" she says stuttering, "Here let's give you some privacy to get dressed again" I say opening my wings and wrapping them around us. I closed my eyes so she could get changed "I'm dressed again" she says I retracted my wings "So Emily those guys do they do this often?" I asked "Only if I'm alone, they'll follow me around at pick on me" she says grabbing her books "Would you like me to walk you to classes from now on? If I'm available to" I offer "Yes please, I don't like being alone in the school anymore" she says "You shouldn't be afraid to walk around the school, I'll take care of those guys. And I'll make sure you get to class okay. Are you on free block right now?" I asked "Yeah, I was going to head home since all my classes are done for the day" she says "Alright I'll walk you there, then I'll deal with those boys" I say "Thank you" she says. As we made our way down the hallway and towards her place we made small talk about things, I radioed Khan about the group of boys and he sent people to deal with them. "So Y/n, what's going on with you and Uzi? You two seem happy for breaking up" she asked "Oh we got back together, turns out Thad drugged her at his party" I say "Oh... is she alright?" She asked "Yeah, she's fine now" I say "And you? Tessa told everyone about your attempt" she says "Of course she did, yeah I'm fine now, Tessa changed my depression and happiness levels to get me back to normal" I say as we arrived at Emily's home. She was about to get inside when she stopped "I know you and Uzi are together but, could I please get one kiss?" She asked "No, absolutely not" I say now cross with her "Your such a good looking guy and I've never felt this way about someone before, just one quick one please?" She asked "No, haven't any of you figured it out yet that I'm not going to cheat on Uzi" I say "Fine.... I'll just forget it" she says "You'll find someone someday, just put yourself out there more Emily" I say as she closed her door I shook my head before leaving.

I made my way back to my place and found Uzi and Nori looking around "What are you two doing here?" I asked making the pair jump "Nothing!" Nori says which was a surprise response from her. "Okay now I know your hiding something, what are you doing?" I asked "Nothing Y/n, what makes you say that?" Uzi asked "Uzi your a horrible liar, your both planning something what is it?" I asked "We aren't doing anything" Nori says. I was about to continue when a call came over the radio "Medical staff the 37 south wing!" The voice called "That's Emily's place!" I say "Oh that's not good, she's been upset lately" Uzi says. We made our way there to see what was going on and Emily was on the floor with her family around her "What's going on?" Nori asked "Its okay dear, your family is here" her dad says. I gently nudged Nori and Uzi to the side and knelt down in front of Emily "Emily what's wrong?" I asked, she didn't respond, I grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it "Emily what happened?" I asked in a softer tone. She looked up at me "Nothing, I'm fine" she says which was clearly a lie. Seeing as I wasn't getting anywheres with her I decided to ask her parents "What happened?" I ask standing up "We don't know, we came home and she said she need help" her mother says. It hit me what was going on and I knelt down again this time I sat down next to Emily "You were thinking about it weren't you?" I says. She didn't verbally respond but nodded slowly, I put an arm around her "You know you'll be going to therapy now right?" I asked "I don't want therapy, I wanna be loved" she says "And you are, your mom and dad both love you, and I'm sure your friends do to" I say "But, I want a boyfriends love. Someone other then family" she says "I'm sure you'll find someone, good things come to those who wait you know. It took me 19 years and running away from my planet before I got my first relationship, it will come eventually. But you have to be patient" I say, she sighed "Please?" She asked "No Emily, I will not give you a kiss" I say "I think you've said enough" Nori says. I got up and left with Uzi we didn't say a word to each other until we got back to my place "How did you know she wanted a kiss?" Uzi asked "Because, when I walked her home from school she said she wanted one, she asked and I shot her down instantly. Seems she was desperate and getting rejected was a little to much for her" I say "So that was all because you wouldn't give her a kiss? And what was she even thinking about? And how did you know what it was?" She asked "Suicide, I could tell by her body language and the way she spoke. It's a dark place to even think about, but once you've been there you notice the sighs with situations like that, it's harder to see most times but she was pretty cut and dry about it" I say as we sat down "She was thinking of killing herself? All because you wouldn't kiss her?" She asked "Well she's been upset for awhile now from what you said and getting rejected by me was just enough to make her consider it" I say "Can it really be something that small that sets it off?" She asked "Yep, the smallest thing can make it happen, but the smallest act of kindness can have to opposite effect and bring someone back from it" I say "So, if you let says took her out dancing or something, would it help her?" She asked "Probably why? You aren't considering that are you!?" I ask "Well I don't wanna see her dead! I've gotten closer to my classmates now thanks to you. You know I'm friends with Lizzy and Doll now, and in turn I've kinda made friends with everyone to some extent" she says "Uzi you can't be serious, after everything that's happened between us and your considering letting me take her on a date!?" I say "yeah? If it helps her health then. Obviously nothing more then a nice night out. Like what you and mom are! A weird flirty none romantic relationship" she says "Uzi what are you on about? Your mom and I are just friends nothing more" I say confused "That's not what she says, she says you and her are like a couple but not" she says. I grabbed my radio "Nori get to my place, now!" I say "Why?" Uzi asked "We've seemed to skip some details and there's some miss communication between her and I to clear up" I say tapping my foot agitated slightly "What do you mean? It makes perfect sense to me, my mother and I could be twins so you and her getting close like that is kinda understandable. You see an older me" she says "No no no no, her and I are just friends nothing more, I have no feelings for her, nor do I see you in her." I say "So.... what?" She asked "Your mother has been telling you things that aren't true, things that if you even took slightly the wrong way, could ruin our relationship again" I say as my door opened "What's going on?" Nori asked "Why have you been telling Uzi we're like a couple, we aren't and I don't see you that way" I say "You don't?" She asked "No! Your nothing more then a friend and her mother to me! That is our entire relationship. Friends!" I say "Oh... I see. I thought you saw more in me. Thanks for clearing that up" she says before leaving again. "And just like that you've upset my mother" Uzi says "Well I'm sorry she doesn't like the truth, it might be a tough pill to swallow but she has to" I say "I guess, look this whole conversation has been awkward and weird. Just go take Emily out somewheres nice so her health improves" she says getting up "Wait, if your serious about this then let's make rules right now" I say "Rules? like what?" She asked "Thing I can and cannot do, like I can take her to the movies, I can't sit on her couch cuddling with her watching a movie. I'm making sure I know everything. I'm not going to enjoy this" I say "Fair enough seeing as I use to be afraid of you leaving me, I've gotten over it by the way." She says "Oh what changed?" I asked as she sat back down "You taking me back time and time again, you could have asked any other girl at anytime to go out and they would have when we split up. But you always wanted me back instead" she says "Well good to hear your not worried anymore" I say even though it was more of she wanted me back and I was happy to but I kept my mouth shut about it. "So those rules, what are your guidelines I have to follow?" I asked "Oh simple, no sex. That's it" she says "Okay Uzi are you okay? That's very loose and it's way to loose" I say "I'm fine, why are you concerned about this?" She asked "Because your too chill about it, it's not like you to be like this, are you sure your okay?" I asked "Yeah? I know I'm okay Y/n!" She says when her entire screen changed to the solver symbol for a moment. I grabbed my radio again "Hey Tessa can you come to my place, ASAP" I say "Yep! Be there in a couple minutes" she says. "Y/n, I'm fine. I promise" she says "No Uzi, something is going on, your way to calm about this. Your literally asking me to cheat on you" I say. The solver appeared on her screen again before she suddenly cuddled up to my chest "It's okay Y/n, I know you won't cheat on me" she says "Uzi, what's with the symbol?" I asked "What symbol?" She asked her face returning to normal, Tessa arrived "What seems to be the problem?" She asked "Solver keeps appearing on Uzi's screen. And she basically telling me to cheat on her, something isn't right" I say "Cyn!" Tessa says "Didn't you get rid of them?" I asked as she plugged into Uzi's head again "It seems she can reinfect if shes deleted, I'll have to transfer her to a system of her own" she says "She? What is Cyn exactly?" I asked "An A.I that use to work with N and the others. She was our forth maid and our first disassembly drone attempt but solver corrupted her before we knew how to restrain it. We used her A.I as a firewall to stop it in disassembly drones but without her in the workers it ran wild. It seems she spread a file of sorts to Uzi here and is trying to take over her body." She says "So, she can be restrained now then?" I asked "Possibly, I don't really know. But she was crazy and attacked everything on sight, the fact she didn't attack you is interesting" she says. "Y/n do you have anything I could use to store Cyn in? It will most certainly be unusable afterwords so nothing important" she asked "I got a USB stick that's it" I say "Perfect! She can't do any harm in there" she says as I got up and grabbed it. Once I got back and handed it to Tessa she plugged it into her tablet and once the download was complete unplugged from Uzi "Feeling better Uzi?" Tessa asked "Ugh my head..." she whines holding it. "Thanks Tess, hopefully Cyn can't come back" I say "I hope not either but I'll give her her own little device to speak so we can figure out what's going on with her" she says "Yeah, once you get it running radio me, I wanna have a chat with her" I say as she nods leaving.
