TAHSIGI POV:

Storming across the grassy main deck (who has grass on their ship?? It must be terrible to maintain-), I'm stopped short when I see a literal 5 foot mound of sails jumbled in the corner behind a tree.

oh my.

If all these sails need mending, do they have any spares left?!

What if a storm hit or they got attacked by fire arrows or-!

I stop, hands on my hip as I suck in a deep breath.

"You okay Tashigi swaaaaan~?" Sanji calls from where him and Nami are now sampling mimosas. I turn and give a weak grin and thumbs up.

"Just following orders!" I call back before turning and examining the pile again with concern. They may be meant as punishment, but perhaps taking stock of the Thousand Sunny's operations and emergency preparedness might not be such a waste of time.

It is a two weeks sail on open waters in the New World, after all.

My hand reaches to brush agains the knapsack still slung on my shoulders. Two weeks. I shake the thoughts from my head before slipping the bag off and tossing it the corner. Rolling my sleeves up, I march towards the canvas-- and immediately smack my head on the lowest branch of the tree.

What ocean ship has a TREE on it?!

I turn with a wry stare at the crew lounging a hundred feet away as I rub my head. Why do I have a feeling the blueprints won't be nearly as captivating as all the shenanigans that are bound to happen on this trip? With a resigned sigh, I turn back-

"Are you looking for the sewing kit?"

"WAHH!" I shriek, leaping back- and smacking my head on the tree branch. a second time.

"Miss Nico Robin, you startled me!" I stammer out as I gingerly stand up straighter. The infamous archeologist watches me with a tilted head and wide smile, my knapsack in her hand.

"Apologies, Miss Bushido. I thought I would come and offer my assistance with the sails--" with that, she crosses her arms and a hundred hands sprout all across the area. "It would be terrible if our guest were to die of exhaustion while doing my ship duty."

30 minutes later, Robin and I fold the final sail. She places it on the towering pile and gives it a pat before turning my way.

"Thank you for your assistance. In exchange.. I can always help with these mysteriously guarded secrets of yours." she offers, eying the knapsack that has been firmly on my back since I managed to get the bag from her earlier. "That you have now refused to speak of for 30 minutes."

"I assure you they are nothing exciting. Very basic, boring secrets." I stand straight and stretch, wincing as my back cracks, before giving her a nervous grin. "just a passenger-passing-time secrets."

Half an hour with the archeologists has very much confirmed what I already suspected: she is by far the largest threat to my secrets on this ship. And somehow still the most sincere woman I have ever met.

Robin raises an eyebrow, entirely unconvinced, but there's mirth in her eyes.

"Mmm, yes. Basic and boring. that is how I would describe secrets to help breach a maximum security naval base," she teases. My grin turns stiff, and I let out a wooden laugh.

"ha! ha ha! I'm not- there's no breaching." I deny. then clear my throat. switch gears! "Thank you for the verbal tour of The Sunny. I'm relieved to know where the bathroom is if I need it later."
