This is freaking insane- 40th chapter-
...geEZ
It's almost been a year since I started writing this monstrosity-
CW// Excessive gore and violence, profanity (lighter than last chapter)
Blood.
More than Zud had ever seen before.
The man backed up a step, eyes wide, as Sigils' body thudded to the floor and Biffle collapsed onto his knees.
Biffle's head turned to him, and Zud caught a glimpse of grey in his eyes before the entire world tipped sideways.
Zud shrieked as the obsidian began to crumble, light shining through where the layers cracked and fell.
He grabbed onto the collapsing structure- but it was no use. He dropped to the floor like a bowling ball, rolling until he hit the back of his head on the opposite wall.
Biffle was choking, eyes wide as he grabbed at his own neck.
Sigils' eyes were dull and unfocused, chest heaving as one of his legs spasmed under him.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Zud shrieked at Biffle, who turned around to snarl at him. He wasn't able to meet Zud's eyes for long, though- he gagged and leaned over, clawing at his chest with his mouth wide open.
The floor was shaking. It was hard for Zud to breathe.
He met Sigils' eyes, and his vision turned black.

When he woke up, there was so much pain in his neck that he tried to scream without thinking.
Then as soon as one note came out of his open mouth, it was gone.
Zud gagged, staggering backwards and hitting a stone wall.
His vision was blurry, swirls of color dancing in his gaze as he blinked to regain composure.
His ears were ringing.
Zud reached up and rubbed his eyes, groaning quietly. Blood was seeping through his sleeve, but he wasn't sure he knew what it was from.
When he looked down, he could see red blood- but there was purple as well.
Scratch that.
There was red and blue blood, both mixed together and so thick in places that they made purple.
His ears weren't ringing, either.
The sound was a low growl, an animalistic snarl that a person wasn't capable of making.
Zud's head shot up, dizzy.
The Chaos Being was shaking on their hooves, one paw over a long slice in the side of their head. The other paw was curled around Loaf's neck, claws digging into his pale skin and piercing it. The blood from their wounds was blue- that explained the strange colors.
Their eyes were fluttering to half-open, and that's when Zud realized that there was a wound so long across their stomach that you could just see their ribcage.
Loaf looked about the same. Blood dripped from almost everywhere that could bleed- his face looked like it had been painted. There was a gaping hole in his thigh, and the entire leg shuddered and twitched. He was choking.
