“Mom can I stay here na lang dito sa bahay” I boredly said. Aalis kami tonight to have dinner with my dad's friend.
“No, anak. You should be there” my mom answered. I mentally rolled my eyes.
“Let's go ladies” My dad said guiding my mom.
“Can I use my car? Ayaw kong sumabay diyan" I said nga makitang kong nasa loob din ng sasakyan ang magaling kong kuya. I hate him. We aren't close. And yeah, hindi kami magkasundo. Lahat na lang kase inaaagaw niya. He's good at dad's eyes pati sa ibang tao. At ako? Ano pa edi sakit sa ulo. That's what my dad said . My so called brother is a doctor. Kaya matalino. Matalino naman din ako, minsan nga lang.
“Beyne! ” My dad voice echoed
“Dad please, ang sikip kaya ” I reason out.
“Your brother will drive , kaya don kayo sa likod ng mommy niyo. " He answered. Wala na akong nagawa kundi sumunod. Mamaya mabawasan pa ang allowance ko
Pairap akong sumakay sa kotse. I'm wearing a black dress yung hanggang tuhod lang naman.
Ofcourse Simon drive the car. I didn't talk kase sila lang naman nag nag uusap.
“How's school Beyne?" Dad suddenly asked.
“Hayon dad, nakatayo parin. Bakit dad?” I asked.
“I'm serious here! So how's school?” he asked again
“It's good po.” I answered
“Good. Gumaya ka dito sa kuya mo. He got higher grades when he's in college. ” he proudly said
“I got high grades too dad” I sarcastically said
“But not higher as like him. ” he blurted out. Ipapahiya mo ba talaga ako dad. Siya na naman
“We're different dad. He's an doctor at ako po Engineering ang kinuha ko. Malamang hindi parehas ng inaaral” I sarcastically said.
“Suel, don't talk like that kay dad ” my brother scolded
“Eh ano naman sayo. We aren't talking to you. Napuri ka lang. Nakikisawsaw ka na” I sarcastically answered him
“That's enough!” dad yelled. I stop talking and look at the window instead.
Mom reach for my hand and caress it. I sighed after I saw her smile..
”You two used to close to each other ” Dad blurted out.
Yeah, not till he get everything from me
“We're here dad” I heard him said. Agad na akong bumaba ng sasakyan. Not waiting for them na pagbuksan pa ako. Simon opened the door for mommy.
“Mauna na kayo sa loob, I'll talk to our daughter ” Mom suddenly said. Dad just nod and went inside a private restaurant
“Are you okay, anak?” mom asked worriedly
“I'm fine mom. Sige na po, tara na sa loob" I replied
“Don't listen to your dad. Para sakin your brightest. And I am proud of you. ” Mom sincerely said. Ang kaninang pigil kong luha ay pumatak. She pulled me for a hug
“Thank you mom” I answered
“Anyways, kamusta na kayo nung kwinekwento mo saakin na gustong gusto mo?” she asked
“Mom, ganon padin. She's still annoyed sakin. ” I answered
“I wanna meet her soon” she added . I smiled at her. “What's her name again?” she asked
