Out of characters but yeah-
This is a different au where Eric and Craig are rivals 🤷

.
.

Eric Cartman and Craig Tucker had always been rivals. They constantly bickered and insulted each other, but deep down, they both knew there was something else there. They just didn't know what it was.

One day, after school, Cartman found himself alone in the park. He was feeling particularly vulnerable after being picked on by some of the other kids, so he sat down on a bench and began to cry. That's when Craig walked by.

At first, Craig didn't know what to do. He had never seen Cartman like this before. But something inside him told him to go over to him and see if he was okay.

"Hey, dude. You alright?" Craig asked, trying not to sound too concerned.

Cartman wiped his tears and looked up at Craig. "What do you care, Tucker?" he spat.

Craig shrugged. "I don't know. I just... don't like seeing people upset, I guess."

Cartman scoffed. "Yeah, right. You're probably just here to make fun of me."

Craig rolled his eyes. "Do you want me to leave or not?"

Cartman hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. "No. I... I could use someone to talk to."

And so, Craig sat down next to Cartman and listened as he poured his heart out. He talked about his insecurities, his fears, and his frustrations. Craig listened attentively, never interrupting or judging him.

After a while, Cartman finally stopped talking and looked up at Craig. "Why are you being so nice to me?" he asked.

Craig shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe because... we're not so different, you know?"

Cartman raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Well, we both have our issues. We both have things we're ashamed of. And I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like the whole world is against me."

Cartman nodded slowly. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

They sat in silence for a few moments before Craig spoke up again. "You know, Cartman... I don't hate you."

Cartman looked at him incredulously. "What? But... we're supposed to hate each other. That's how it's always been."

Craig shrugged. "Maybe it doesn't have to be that way. Maybe we could... I don't know, be friends?"

Cartman stared at him for a moment before breaking out into a grin. "Friends? With you? I don't know, Tucker. That's a pretty big leap."

Craig rolled his eyes. "Whatever, dude. Just think about it, okay?"

And with that, Craig got up and walked away, leaving Cartman sitting on the bench, feeling... something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

Over the next few days, Cartman found himself thinking about Craig more and more. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something between them, something worth exploring. And so, one day after school, he decided to take a chance.

He walked up to Craig, who was sitting on a bench, reading a comic book. "Hey, Tucker. You got a minute?"

Craig looked up at him, surprised. "Uh, sure. What's up?"

Cartman took a deep breath. "Look, I ...I've been thinking about what you said the other day, and... I don't know, man. Maybe you're right. Maybe we could be friends."

Craig raised an eyebrow. "Really? You're willing to give it a shot?"

Cartman nodded. "Yeah. I mean, we've been enemies for so long, it's worth trying something different, right?"

Craig smiled. "Yeah, it is. So, what do you want to do?"

Cartman shrugged. "I don't know. Hang out? Play video games or something?"

Craig grinned. "Sounds good to me."

And so, the two of them spent the rest of the afternoon playing video games and talking. They laughed and joked, and for the first time in a long time, Cartman felt like he had someone he could really connect with.

As the days and weeks went by, Cartman and Craig's friendship grew stronger. They started hanging out more and more, and soon enough, they were practically inseparable. They even started to defend each other against the other kids, standing up for one another when they were being picked on or bullied.

But still, there was something else there. Something that neither of them wanted to admit.

One day, they were hanging out in Craig's room, playing video games as usual. But this time, there was a tension in the air that neither of them could ignore.

Cartman cleared his throat. "Uh, Craig? Can I ask you something?"

Craig looked at him, curious. "Yeah, of course. What's up?"

Cartman hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "Do you ever think about... us? Like, as more than friends?"

Craig's eyes widened. "What? No, I... I mean, I don't know. I guess I haven't really thought about it."

Cartman felt his heart sink. "Oh. Okay, never mind then."

But Craig didn't say anything. He just looked at Cartman, his eyes searching his face as if trying to read his thoughts.

And then, before Cartman could say anything else, Craig leaned in and kissed him.

It was a soft, gentle kiss, full of all the feelings they had been too scared to express until now. Cartman was surprised at first, but then he melted into the kiss, deepening it and wrapping his arms around Craig's neck.

From that moment on, there was no denying what was between them. They were more than just friends. They were in love.

They kept their relationship a secret at first, afraid of what their friends and families would think. But eventually, they realized that they didn't care. They loved each other, and that was all that mattered.

And so, Cartman and Craig continued to defy expectations, proving that sometimes, the people you least expect can end up being the most important ones in your life.

As much as Cartman and Craig wanted to keep their relationship a secret, it was inevitable that someone would find out. They knew that their friends and families might not be accepting of their relationship, so they kept it under wraps as much as possible.

But one day, they slipped up. They were holding hands in public, lost in their own world, when one of their classmates spotted them. The rumor mill started spinning immediately, and soon enough, everyone knew.

At first, Cartman and Craig were terrified. They didn't know how people would react, and they braced themselves for the worst.

But to their surprise, most of their friends were supportive. They didn't care that they were dating, as long as they were happy.

Their families, on the other hand, were a different story. Cartman's mother was outraged, and Craig's dad didn't take it well either. They were both convinced that their sons were just going through a phase, that they would eventually grow out of it.

Cartman and Craig tried to explain that they were in love, that their feelings were real, but their parents refused to listen.

It was a difficult time for both of them. They felt like they were being torn apart, forced to choose between their families and each other.

But in the end, they made the choice that felt right. They refused to let anyone dictate their happiness, and they stayed together, even if it meant going against the people they loved.

It wasn't easy, but they knew that they had each other, and that was all they needed. They continued to keep their relationship a secret from the rest of the world, but they didn't care. As long as they had each other, they were content.

And so, Cartman and Craig continued to live their lives, defying expectations and proving that love knows no boundaries. They knew that there would be challenges ahead, but they were ready to face them together.
