Ohani Franklin

Ohani walked around the school building happy as can be. School was over. Summer. And adulthood. She would graduate in a few days.

She smiled big as she headed outside and to her car. After hopping in she shut the door and started her car.

Soon she pulled off and headed home. It was about a 10 minute drive before she arrived.

Just as she arrived her mom texted her a KFC order and cashapped her the money.

She sighed as she pulled out of the driveway and headed the KFC closer to the west side of LA because her family liked that one best.

She arrived and stepped out of the car after grabbing her wallet. The neighborhood was a little run down and Ohani locked her car that she was gifted for her 17th birthday.

She walked inside of the restaurant and placed an order after waiting in the long line.

She stood to the side with her receipt looking around. Her eyes landed on a familiar face. She glanced at him a few times and eventually they locked eyes. He smiled when he seen her.

The talk brownskinned man made his way over to her and spoke. "what's good shawty?" He spoke as he went in for a hug. She hugged him back.

"Ian even get yo name." He spoke. "Ohani. You?" She questioned. "Dominic." He explained and she nodded.

"Lemme get yo number or something." He smiled showing off his pearly whites. "I have a boyfriend..." She smiled shyly and he chuckled.

"That didn't stop you from letting a nigga have his way with you tho?" He questioned. He was right so she only chuckled as she shrugged.

"I-i...what's your number?" She sighed pulling out her phone. He typed in his number and she texted him her name so he could save her number.

"That's crazy I run into you just when I stop thinking about you." He spoke and she smiled.

"Yeah right." She spoke. "what you doing this weekend? Come fuck with me." He spoke. "And do what?" She questioned.

"Mm..my brother throwing a pool party tomorrow. You and ya friend down?" He asked. Ohani shrugged. "I'll ask her but I still gotta ask my parents." She spoke.

"Oh shit... parents? How old you is?" He raised an eyebrow and she laughed. "You tell me your age then I'll find out." She spoke. He furrowed both eyebrows.

"I'm 18 shawty. Just turned 18." He explained. "I'm 17 but don't worry, it's not illegal...well it is but it's not logical, your still a kid." She explained.

"Ion know..." He spoke. "Nah you 17. Damnn." He sighed shaking his head. He took off his cap revealing his waves. "So? I still like you." She gave him that look she always gave boys when she wanted something.

He bit down on his bottom lip. "Shid what you doing when you leave here?" He questioned and she smiled knowing it worked.

"I gotta go home. This is for my family." She spoke. "you got kids?" He asked. "no." She spoke as they called his number. He walked over to get his food and then came back to stand by her.

"Damn..I just wanna chill with ya." He spoke. "Um I got your number, you got mine we can plan something." She spoke.

"Alright." He spoke as her order was called. She grabbed the bag and the two headed out to her car.

"Aight imma hit you." He spoke as she leaned on her car. "I hope your foreal." She spoke and looked at him. He smiled looking away. "Stop giving me that look shorty." He chuckled.

"Especially if you ain't leaving with me."

She smiled playfully before hopping in her car and pulling off. She headed home and it took just as long to get home.

When she arrived she grabbed the bags and her backpack and headed inside. She heard barking and talking. She walked down the web of hallways to the kitchen after taking her shoes off.

"Hey mommy. Hi daddy." She placed the bags down. "Wassup."

"Hey."

She kissed her mother's cheek before leaning down and picking up amaziah. Kahani and Elias sat at the kitchen island eating grapes while watching Gracie's corner together.

"Where's O and Zaccai?" She asked. "Upstairs in the game room." Destiny spoke up.

She rubbed knights head seeing him.
