It keeps getting harder for us to act like nothing is going on between us. We get so caught up in trying to act normal, people are starting to notice things. Owen, Ryan's best friend and my best friend, must've seen or heard something. He randomly said: "It's weird seeing your best friend fall in love with your other best friend." He only has two friends, so it's easy to put two and two together.

At school, we keep up our facade of bullying eachother a little, making fun of eachother and flirting every now and then. I even made him a paper heart and he promised me to keep it forever.

The more I think about him and I, the more I start to worry. I think I might be catching feelings for him... That might be a very serious issue, because we promised it was only going to be sex. I'm not going to tell him yet, I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.

Instead, I just write a letter.

"Dear Ryan. You probably already saw this coming, but I want to tell you personally anyway. I'm in love with you, or at least I think I am. I met you at the perfect time, you kind of saved me from myself. I don't want anything to change between us, we can just go on as if I said nothing, right? You're either the best or the worst thing that has ever happened to me, and only time will tell which one it is."

I fold the letter and throw it in the back of my closet to never take it out again.
