Scott's POV

Arriving at the new warehouse was a newfound experience that I actually enjoyed. It was much nicer than our last one, and actually seemed more discreet. It just looked like a normal lumber yard from the outside. This relieved me, and I'm sure the others, knowing it'd be harder to find us now. Less conspicuous and made more sense.

We found the crew with their trucks in the loading area of the warehouse. They were unloading their portion of the caches into giant wooden crates to be stored somewhere inside until new cache spots were to be determined. I regrouped with Ruby as he was doing inventory on everything that came in. We still had to deduct our losses from the raids and destruction.

"Yo, can I talk to you away from them for a sec?"

He looked up, his eyes showing a bit of concern. We walked away from the rest of the guys with our backs turned towards them. "So, we ran into Pouya," I started with.

"Yeah, I got a call from him asking where he could find you at. He said he had something to give you," Ruby responded.

"He gave us a warning, actually." Aristos face twisted a bit. "He told me that there's this new gang out in Tampa, they've been mentioning our gang and New Orleans. Kevin didn't think it was a coincidence so he came to tell us in person. He didn't want to be traced." He had a very firm crease in his forehead as he thought it all over.

"We haven't involved Florida with anything. I doubt anyone we know is behind this," he mumbled, pondering. "This doesn't make any sense."

I nodded. "It's so sudden, too. Do you think it was someone from our gang?"

He shrugged. "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was." But still, that idea didn't seem right. This was just way too odd. It seemed premeditated.

Ruby and I then further discussed the route here from the storage unit, then asking me to remind him to look into sheds for the supplies. I nodded, and proceeded to unpack the loads.

As concerned as I was about this gang, I don't think there was much Aristos and I could do about it. Kevin didn't give me much to go off of, let alone a name of their gang. How could we just go in and fix whatever issue there was? Kill them all?

I only hope it's nothing.

That night after all was said and done with the warehouse, taking inventory, and trying our best to organize the shit with the things we had, we were done. It was rough. I was a little exhausted, but the night was still fairly young. I guess if you considered 11PM 'young.'

I dialed Winnie's number as I drove down the long gravel path that led down the warehouse, and drove through a forest of trees for the next five miles. It was so fucking nice. "Hello?"
