Sebastian's Perspective
Mature ContentThe common room is filled with music, loud students dancing, and drinks flowing. In my mind the party has not started yet because Y/n has not arrived yet.
I space out on the couch trying to guess what her costume would be. I ran into her at Hogsmeade yesterday after she left Mr. Hill's but she would not let me peek into the bag.
I should have gone to Mr. Hill to get a costume too, but I was too busy getting Y/n's birthday present from the antique store. I hid the small cushion box under my bed because my roommates are nosy little bastards.
Since I did not get a costume, I am stuck wearing some of Ominis's clothes which is a bit small for me. Ominis is a slender lad so the dress vest and suit jacket I borrowed are very tight around my chest and arms. I wanted to dress like Charles Dickens for Y/n because I know she loves A Tale of Two Cities, and to be honest it seemed like a low maintenance costume.
I look down at my costume and adjust my vest, second guessing if this was a good idea. My fingers tap the emerald green velvet on the couch as I anxiously wait for the prize of my affection. Every time I heard a student coming down the stairs from the dormitories my head whips around so fast that I am developing a bit of whiplash.
I wonder what she is wearing. Did she go silly like Natty? Natty is dressed up like Sherlock Holmes. Since they went shopping together, I wouldn't be surprised if Y/n was Dr. Watson.
I am zoned out from the music and loud conversations going on around me thinking about Y/n. I feel a body crash into the spot next to me on the sofa causing me to zone back into my surroundings.
I turn my head to see the sixth year, Alliser Malfoy, resting his head on the back of the couch. He takes a deep breath before he brings the bottle of whiskey up to his lips.
Alliser was the object of all the girls desires. He has had every girl he has ever wanted. He is a Malfoy, of course he gets what he wants. I know he has some relation to Ominis, but Ominis does not talk about him or to him much, then again Ominis does not like his family or their values so I am not surprised.
The Malfoy family is almost as rich and powerful as the Gaunt family. I emphasize ALMOST! No one is as powerful as the Gaunts, but the Malfoys come in a close second.
Alliser himself has all the typical traits and characteristic of a Malfoy. He has blonde hair so light it almost looks white, he is pretentious, arrogant, and obsessed with blood status. I have heard him try to joke with Ominis about hunting muggles and mud-bloods, but Ominis would always ignore him and walk away.
In a typical Quidditch season, Alliser is our captain and is a Keeper. He is very athletic and his build reflects that. He stands a few inches taller than me and is muscular. His blonde hair is always perfectly slicked back, it wouldn't even fall out of place during a damn match. I don't know how he managed to that.
Alliser turns his head towards me, running his fingers through his hair smiling at me. I do not see why girls fancy him. He is relatively pale, his skin resembling porcelain, which I find creepy. Maybe they like his straight white teeth or his eyes. I will admit, his eyes are rather nice. They are a bright blue. They almost look fake, and I would think they were if he wasn't a Malfoy.
"So you and the new fifth year, huh? Way to go mate. I can see you take your Seeker talents off the Quidditch field" he chuckles before taking another swig from the bottle.
