Chapter 33

Y/N's Perspective

"What do you mean he hasn't asked you to be his girlfriend?" Poppy throws her hands up in frustration.

I know my relationship with Sebastian is relatively private, but our close friends are aware of it. Mainly because they have been keeping an eye out to make sure other people do not notice. Of course Poppy should know about my relationship with Sebastian. She is my best friend and I tell her everything.

Well I may not have told her everything. Poppy is a very sweet and innocent, so if she knew the nature of our relationship, I think she would burst a blood vessel. But, she knows some of it but mainly everything else about our relationship but that, whatever it may be.

Just last week she was keeping guard at the bottom of the Astronomy Tower to ensure no one disturbed Sebastian and I, so naturally she feels like she is apart of the relationship now.

I shrug, "I don't know Poppy. He just hasn't asked me yet. We aren't very conventional so it does not worry me much that he hasn't asked."

I wasn't being completely honest to myself or Poppy when I say that. It is true, Sebastian and I will never be a conventional couple, but I do worry about why he has not asked me to be his girlfriend yet. We are both crazy about each other, or at least I think we are. I know I am infatuated with him, but I don't know if what he feels is infatuation or lust.

I constantly worry if this relationship is strictly sexual or not. Sebastian tries to assure me all the time that his feelings for me are very strong, but then why wouldn't he ask me to be his girlfriend?

I thought for a brief moment that he was possibly just saying what I wanted to hear so he could get in my panties, but Sebastian has never been that kind of guy. Sure he can be very manipulative, but not for sex. He is a very caring and passionate lover and he always makes sure I am comfortable with the scenario we are in.

I am happy with Sebastian and things are going really well between us, so maybe this is just what is best for us. Sebastian is just a different breed and he handles things differently, so the idea of a conventional relationship may not be something he has ever thought about.

Of course I would love it if Sebastian properly courted me, but I am so smitten to have him back in my life that I do not care if we have an official title.

"But you two are good now" Poppy throws her hands up. "You did that nice birthday celebration last week and you two have... you know. So what is he waiting for?"

"I don't know the answer to that question Poppy. You know how Sebastian can be. But I really do not mind that much. As long as we are together to some extent, I don't care."

"Are you kidding me? You expect me to believe that? I am surprised I have not seen you doodling 'Mrs. Y/n Sallow' on your notes yet!"

I run up to Poppy's side and put my hand over her mouth to keep her from talking so loud. I check to make sure the other students on the school grounds did not just hear what she said. "Poppy! Not so loud please. That is just not true alright. I am not crazy and I am not infatuated. This has just started back up and we are just feeling things out right now."

Poppy's hand comes to mine and lowers it from her mouth. She gives me a smirk. "More like you two are feeling each other, all of each other."
