Rox rushed over to Kanji´s body when it was rebooting itself as it slowly recovered from the wounds the body had taken; Kanji´s body stirred again as the marks on his arms were pulsing blue to the heartbeat, and a blue glow slowly appeared in his throat. Rox shouted with an alert look, ¨Everyone! Take cover!!¨ The team, except for Yukihyō: who held the back of his head on her chest, hid from a wild blast as a blue beam escaped Kanji´s body as it had a hint of orange. His arms nearly burst into claws, but it didn't change. Kanji slowly woke up with similar eyes that he had in the void and hissed a bit in pain as he slowly got to his feet. He then looked at Rox with the new colors of his eyes, which Rox was surprised about the different eye colors; Kanji turned to Yukihyō with his eyes closed, hiding his new eye color. Yukihyō was confused about Kanji´s sudden mood before she received a hug from him; Yukihyō then heard Kanji sniffling, which shocked her since she had never heard or seen him sad, and what Kanji said soon broke her.
Kanji was letting his tears fall as he spoke, ¨I remembered everything... Mom..¨ Yukihyō's eyes soon filled with tears as she pushed him away and was about to scold him for messing with her feelings, but she saw his eyes: it was their kin´s eyes, but some light sapphire managed to enter to remind her that he is part of the guardians. Kanji continued to cry on her shoulder as his mother did the same before they heard snarling in the distance, which tells them that the king wasn't too happy about their wholesome moment. The team then got ready for a fight even when the new crystal and Kronous were missing from their group. The King was in the background of the army of his remaining corrupted and sent them on their way, most of them had blood-soaked teeth after mauling some unlucky survivors from camp, and the team rushed into battle while those who could fly took flight. They then went into a blood-filled struggle, but Kanji saw the king staring at the group, especially Kanji and Yukihyō.

The king then charged up a blast and shot it at Kanji, which Kanji made a counterblast, which caused a massive shockwave, stunning both parties. Kanji landed on the ground with a thud, and the king got down onto one knee, paralyzed by the blast. The team and the corrupted army were the same as the king, Paralyzed and covered in burns. The corrupted army was cured by the shockwave they both caused. The king looked around to see the army purified, and his mist escaped his eyes, and he soon got up with some struggles due to the shock and ran off. He witnessed the king running from him as his pupils widened, and he tried his best to get back up to go to the king. She went after the king as Rox ran to help Kanji up Rox and an intense glow due to the electrical shock. Yukihyō called out to the king, using his name, ¨Ryuu! Come back!¨ Ryuu looked back before his body was forced to run away. Rox looked at Yukihyō and asked, confused, ¨Why did you say Ryuu to the king?¨ Yukihyō was silent, and Kanji spoke up for her, ¨Because my mom knew him. She is Dad´s mate, and I am his kin.¨
