In the ship, the resistance fought against the corrupted warriors as the bloodbath caused the trio on the lower deck to separate. Ace was fighting with a sword as his other hand got a gun, blowing a few heads off the enemies while slashing others with his sword. Yukihyō turned her paws into saws and cut them into pieces, and her eyes flickered hot pink for a second as blood spilled from her enemies, and her scar had a pink, corrosive aura. Rox used his Warhammers to bash into them as blood scattered the boat. Rox´s emerald eyes shined as his axes had a glow as his Warhammers grew bigger for a moment as he killed ten more soldiers. Kanji used the borrowed sword until he was forced into hand-on-hand combat when one corrupted soldier knocked his sword away, and a few of them soon tried to fight the weaponless Kanji; Kanji looked around and then used his tail to grab one and bit their frontier lobe, instantly killing them. They tried to attack Kanji even more, and one pinned Kanji to the wall. Kanji soon felt something burning inside his chest and caused a rogue blast to come out of his mouth, frying a couple of them to death. This caused some remaining forces of the corrupted to turn their attention to him as Yukihyō and Rox used it as an opportunity to kill the rest. After a corrupted group was defeated, but some escaped with injuries, Yukihyō and Rox went to check on Kanji, only to see him scared as pale blue smoke left his mouth, gapping with fright. The two were shocked as Yukihyō hugged him to calm him from being so terrified, and it had not gone unnoticed by the king as it piqued his curiosity as he saw it all from Ace´s corrupted eye.
Kanji slowly calmed down as he hugged back; Rox asked,¨ where did you have that type of firepower? That belongs to the king himself.¨ Kanji said, ¨I don't know, but It burned my insides. So I had to exhaust it on one of the unfortunate ones who fought me.¨ Rox said,  ¨Gaining that type of power means that you were blessed with it. I was blessed with toughened skin and super strength, to boot. ¨ Yukihyō helped Kanji up while hugging him, and they just continued to chat about having powers or blessings before they got sent flying by the sudden stop, and Ace shouted, ¨land ahoy, Sorry for the sudden crash-¨ Ace paused as he saw the island and terror filled his sight on his only eye, recognizing the island and who owned it. Yukihyō witnessed Ace´s traumatized look and asked, ¨Ace? Is something wrong?¨ Ace turned around with fear and said, ¨We need to get off this island, NOW!¨ She was confused as she released Kanji from her comforting hug; Kanji then went to the edge before he jumped off and used his claws to hold onto the boat before landing on strange, gray sands as he looked at the cave entrance.
She said, ¨How dangerous can this threat be?¨ Ace then said, ¨basically, we gave those corrupted warriors a pleasant death other than fighting something as deadly as the corrupt king.¨ Yukihyō became shocked, and she looked over to Kanji: who was missing from the boat, and Rox said, ¨Kanji, Is the ground clear for us to be down there?¨ Kanji shouted, ¨Yeah, but there's a lot of gray sand here and a lot of spiky glass sticking out.¨ Rox said with a confused tone, ¨gray sand?? Why would there be gray sand?¨ Ace heard about the different sands, and he was frightened and worried about the speed guardian´s safety, and shouted, ¨Those are not sands! They are ashes! The glasses were made by the serpent king of volcano island.¨ Kanji heard what he said, and his horns went down with fear as he said, ¨The..what…now..¨ Then there was a loud hiss from the cave as he turned around to see a giant pink eye glaring down at him like a hunted prey. A massive, dark pink cobra quickly rushed out of the cave to catch Kanji; Kanji was lucky to dodge the big fangs before he was caught by them. The resistance realized what mess they got into as the cobra-like beast was gigantic and made with dark gray, rock-like scales with pink magma that flowed between the cracks. Rox and Yukihyō went to help out Kanji: who was getting hunted down by the massive serpent. Ace crossed his arms as he glared at the snake monster, pulling out his scarred sword: ready to fight an old enemy, and said, ¨This is why I always hated snakes..¨
