"You know im happy you wanted to invite the Alessandros." My mother speaks out. Finishing the rest of the liquid in her cup after she spoke to me.
We were in the kitchen now. It was only 10:34am because we all decided on laying in. Nobody had any plans and my birthday wasnt until tomorrow. I was surprised that my mother hasnt ushered me out yet.

"How come?" I wiggle my eyebrows confused. I think she was referring to the fact that my dad and alè got to catch up.

"They havent spoke in a while. It was nice to see them talking. God its be like what?- two, three years." She sighs running the cup under the tap in the sink. Wow. I didnt think it was that long.

"Why havent they spoke? Theyre literally best friends." I shake my head in confusion again.

"They both got busy i guess. Im not too sure, your dad never mentioned it to me." She shrugs. Walking over to fave me on the opposite side of the counter.

Sydney soon rolls into the kitchen.

"Good morning beautiful ladies!" She yawns rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning Syd. What did you wanna do today?" My mother walks over to here greeting her with a cup of coffee.

She instantly takes a sip relaxing her shoulders in relief. I hop off the stool so i can put my bowl in the sink.

"I dont mind. Ill do anything - im off work now. Students know im on holiday." She smiles sitting on the bar stool.

"Does that count for me?" I ask turning my back leaning against the sink counter, smirking.

"Nope. Absolutely not." sydney laughs and my mother rolls her eyes.

"Nice try kiddo." My mother scruffs up my hair.

"We can go to the country club if u want?" My mother turns facing Sydney. She looks clueless.

"Its a very posh place for kooks to play golf and shit." I shrug, she nods in understanding.

"Language Marie." My mother snarls at me pulling a face and i roll my eyes.

"As she was saying." My mother continues.
"We can spend lunch at the country club, i can invite a few friends from last night, if youd like of course." She nods towards syndey. Sydney smiles.
