Kobeni is still trembling when he brought her in. Aki tried to calm her with the smell of food, but it seem she was influenced by the experience this time

Kishibe stood up and walk to the door

"Where are you going?"

"Back to my home. Makima will get suspicious if I stay too long" The old man's eyes stare ahead "Now I know why she's interested in you"

The best Devil Hunters are the ones with a loose screw in their head. However, the boy he fought last night has a head filled with screws

His strength and speed may be lacking, but his brutal fighting style more than made up for it. That illogical existence must have been an intrigue for the Director

It was a different kind of fascination compared to her puppets. No, it could be said Makima, the Control Devil is genuinely interested in Aki

There is Denji, his dog, Power, and Kobeni in the living room.

Denji look toward Kobeni, then at him. With a knowing look, he scooped up Pochita and ran out the door. Aki is sure he misunderstood something

As the other trio shamble their ways toward the empty house, Aki slide the cup of boiling noodles to Kobeni. She quietly ate it

The other girl has a blank look on her face. 

"Even if I want to say they're mob characters in a manga, there's no denying the Yakuza crime network will be troublesome to deal with"

She killed a squad sent to them by the order of Makima. However, that woman seem to have chosen to stay out of the conflict once her act came to an end

Makima will probably watch on as they became her pawn in her twisted game

"I killed that old man, he's probably their leader" She shakily brought the cup to her mouth. "What do I do, Aki? I don't wanna die. My life can't end here because I murdered the wrong people"

He want to tell her to stop panicking

In the first place, why would Makima want to start a war with the Yakuza?

The only reason he can think of is to reduce their influence on society. Many of Public Safety's asset rely on government allowance, and the Yakuza is causing havoc for them

If she can get those criminal under control, the income for their department will increase. 

So the logical chance woujld be to start a war with them. A war that Makima can clearly justify as being outside her jurisdiction

But...something still bothered him

Will the Yakuza start mobilize their forces over this? They are criminals, but not clueless ones. No matter how you see it, a few lost men can't be reason to start a conflict

He decide to consolidate his partner first

"If you kill the wrong person and get in trouble, maybe killing the right person will solve it?"

Aki never said he is good at giving advice
