Two statues in the dark room. The first status moved. It shattered. The second statue tripped on its leg and reverse the room. The space is now the statue. Dark and Silent. Then, the first statue shattered the second one. What is the lesson?
Nothing makes sense in a fight
Aki moved before the old man. 2 meters. Kishibe deliver a downward blow. A cracked rib. Traded for a clean punch to the face. The two men recoiled. A high kick from the old man. His hand push the ground, propelling himself past the kick
Downward kick. Backward kick. Their attack clashed. Fast jab. Hook. Two fatal blow to the head. Aki grab his arm and pull in for a twist. Kishibe flip over his back, fluidly . In the darkness, the two clashed with no restraint
The wind was knocked out of Aki as he felt his arm bone broke to pieces. He retaliated by kneeing the old man in the face, crushing his nose. A kick to the stomach from Kishibe sent him skidding back several meters. The two observed each other
"You have a Devil Contract" Aki remarked.
Devils gave out power in exchange for something the user hold dear. A mean of sustenanance for both parties. With the mutual benefits for survival, it wasn't a hard bargain
"Can't gain some if you don't lose some"
The old man is fast. He spun, the kick inches from Aki's face before he blocked it with his fist. Shockwave pushed out from the impact. The second he let go, a second kick was coming from the other side. Aki shove himself out of its range
Kishibe did not give him space. Without hesitation, the older Hunter dash forward while pulling out a knife. He flipped backward to avoid the slash which carved deep into the wall behind him.
Speed. Precision. Strength.
Everything about this man is unnatural
He deflect the other man's wrist while stepping into his strike zone. At this distance, a strong elbow to the rib is enough to make a person faint. Kishibe didn't even falter. His breath barely hitched at the moment of impact, instantaneously counterattack within a split second
That shouldn't have happened, was the last thought that went through his mind. What kind of person could still continue with their air supply cut off?
Aki's vision went black as he was slammed into the wall
________
A knife stabbed through his hand, restraining their movement. The old man drop his cigarette on the ground and approach him
"If it wasn't for my contract, you would have crushed me" Kishibe crouch down, face-to-face with his defeated adversary "I haven't seen a psychopath this uncontrollable before"
Technique. Instinct. Brutality
Everything about the boy is unnatural
The one who was forced into the corner first was unexpectedly Kishibe. He had thought it'd be a clean takedown, but one wrong movement had him paid the price. In the end, he resort to rushing Aki with his Devil-enhanced capabilities
In the first place, it wasn't a fair fight. But who care about fair?
"Now that I've shown you the difference between us, be a good boy and return home. Leave your partner to Public Safety to take care of"
He said this with a strange sincerity. Maybe he has a little respect for the strong. Or was it because he wouldn't let another person suffer the Devil known as Makima?
