"Hey wake up shithead"

Dull black eyes opened in annoyance. The person that greeted him, if it can be called a person, bare her fang. He doesn't recognize her

Memories flood his mind. A naked girl covered in blood. A redhaired woman's smile. Her voice, telling him to take care of this new pet. Treasure it. His new partner

"If you're not gonna get up now, I'm going to shit on your face" 

"I'm up" He got up slowly. There are bags on his eyes from last night's chaos . Having a devil throwing a tantrum is not fun "What do you need?"

"Make me some food"

"And can't you think of another way to ask?"

"Why should I" She asked, bored "You're just a human who got lucky to be in my presence. Be grateful I didn't smack you around like an insect"

Aki wasn't a good cook, he's an excellent cook, so it was only half an hour later when breakfast is served. Curry with vegetables. She spat out the celeries and carrots and potatoes and sip on the rest

The Hunter look at the clock. It's only 3AM. Barely a day has passed since the Blood Fiend has moved in his house, and already he regret his decision

"How do you talk to a Devil?"

Sunlight drift through the office's tinted glass, illuminating the figure of his boss behind the desk. She look majestic, like a monarch on a crumbling throne. Lonely and desperate. Such kings seek entertainment in others 

"Is this about the new...addition to your team?" The woman smiled, leaning against her office chair "From what I've seen, you're rather adept at handling problematic subordinates"

Kobeni came to his mind. But that girl is a different matter. She is timid, antisocial, but easy to communicate and reassure. He don't have experience with the other. She is chaos incarnate. The embodiment of inhumane fit in their unwilling vessel 

At his blank gaze, her face blossomed into a beautiful smile

"Fiends can be troublesome to interact with, but the one thing that can hold them back is control" She lean to one side, resting her cheeks on her hand against the table

"Authority and domination. Much like your average puppies, Devils retain an animalistic instinct on an established hierarchy. They are, simply speaking, wild pests that need discipline"

"This is the only way to a peaceful cooperation" She look out the window "...Just like history had demonstrated, the one thing chaos fear is none other than an even greater chaos"

The last words were spoken in a whisper 

He lean back in his seat

"Thanks for the advice, Makima"

"You're welcome, Aki" Such words were spoken without meaning. Yet they contain meaning he had yet to understand. But he had already understood what it meant. In the end, Aki figured Makima has no need for a throne

"I'm home" Kobeni announce to the quiet house. No one responded to her. The girl shuffled awkwardly to the table filled with fast food, and put it all to the garbage bin
