Giyu's P. O. V:

I wake up the next morning and remember what happened last night. I sit bolt upright and my hand snatches up my katana. As I jerk my head around to find the demon woman, I relax slightly when I see she's still fast asleep at the back of the cave, my haori still covering her.

I relax and let out a breath of relief.

She made no move to attack me in my sleep and she didn't even abandon me during the night.

I decide to go in search of food and get to my feet. I pause before I take a step however, and look back at Misaki.

"Huh..." I mutter to myself when I realise her sleeping position. She's curled up and is practically hugging my haori to her as if it were a blanket, and there's a content expression on her features.

I stare at her, trying to comprehend what I'm seeing. I'm just so surprised because the way Misaki is sleeping is just so human-like that I almost forget she's a demon.

I then remind myself of what she is and shake my head to myself with my eyes closed. Sword in hand, I exit the cave to look for food and water.

I return about twenty minutes later with arms full of fresh firewood, food and water. Misaki is still asleep so I set about making the fire and cooking the fish I caught in the stream.

Just when it was about done, I hear a soft moan and look up. Misaki sits up as she rubs the sleep from her eyes, my mismatched haori sliding off her back.

"... Good morning," I greet.

"'Morning," Misaki returns with a yawn. "What's cooking?"

I reply as I take one of the fish on a stick, "Fish. We'll start making our way to the Demon Slayer Headquarters after I've eaten," I inform her before I take a bite. "You'll probably face trial in order to be given a chance to live and work with us."

Misaki nods her head in understanding.

"If I wasn't travelling with you, you'd be able to travel further during the day," She sighs, picking up my haori and hugging it to her chest. "I'm sorry for slowing you down."

"It's fine. We'll get there in a few days."

We fall silent as I resume eating my breakfast.

After my breakfast, I put out the fire and Misaki and I exit the cave. We begin the journey back to Demon Slayer Headquarters.

"Oh, um, here. You'd want this back," Says Misaki. She holds out my neatly folded mismatched haori.

"... Thank you," I mutter as I take it and slip it on over my cyan tinted Demon Slayer uniform.

"It was... rather warm to sleep in," Says Misaki with a blush on her cheeks as she averts her eyes.

"I'm glad you had a good sleep," I say, surprised she found it to be warm and comfortable. "Let's go." Misaki nods and my hand subconsciously rests on my katana hilt. It's just a precaution in case she changes her mind and attacks me out of nowhere.

As we walk, Misaki and I chat with each other. Well, she did the most chatting, as I don't really like talking. Though, for some weird reason, I felt comfortable enough to talk with her, and I got to know Misaki a bit more, too.

She lived in Miho Village with just her parents who were common book sellers and writers. Misaki also sings. But then, one night, a demon had broken into Misaki's house and I already know the rest. She was forced to leave her peaceful village out of fear of hurting or killing anyone once she realised she'd been turned.
