Scattered Petals (Giyu Tomioka X OC)

Chapter 30

Misaki's P. O. V:

We return to the spot where we last saw the demon but she wasn't there anymore.

"Where did she go?" I question as we gaze around warily for her.

I cry out as I'm suddenly slugged in my back by a strong kick that sends me tumbling across the ground.

"Misaki!" Giyu exclaims worriedly as I come to a stop.

"Did you think I was gonna just wait for you to return? I was planning a sneak attack while you were hiding," Says the demon, appearing right next to Giyu as I lean up on my hands and glare at her as I grit my teeth.

Giyu unsheathes his sword and swings it at the demon but she dances away in time.

"Petal Blade Dance!" The demon says, lashing out with her arms and sending out flame covered flowers.

Giyu douses them with his Water Breathing but one burns my left shoulder as I get to my feet. I hiss but try to ignore the pain as my wound heals.

"Sakura Blood Demon Art: Sakura Slash," I say and slash through the flowers with cherry blossom petals before I finally manage to land a couple of slashes on the girl, causing her to cry out.

She lashes out with more flowers as Giyu and I cut them down or dodge them.

"Sakura Blood Demon Art: Blooming Sakura!" I run at our opponent and send her rocketing away with a punch of cherry blossom petals. She soon comes to a stop and glares at me. I return it.

She gets up but I ready my next attack. "Sakura Blood Demon Art: God Palm!" I loom in front of the redhead and slam my hand against her chest. With a charging sound, she's thrown back into the wall of a building with a scream.

The girl climbs out and her wounds slowly begin to heal.

I run at her again and leap into the air. "Sakura Blood Demon Art: Plummeting Leaf." I bring my leg down in ground breaking axe kick but she dives out of the way just in time to avoid exploding sakura petals.

"Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide," Says Giyu as he appears before the demon and slashes at her. She goes to dodge but he manages to land a gash on her left arm.

"Detonating Petal!" I throw out a couple of petals that stick to her and she screams as they go off, knocking her to the ground.

Giyu lunges for the demon as he raises his sword above his head and calls out, "Water Breathing, Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin."

He brings down his nichirin katana in a vertical slash as a torrent of water slams into the demon.

Giyu pants as I go up to him and ask, "Did that get her?"

"I think so," He responds.

We gasp as the female demon suddenly rolls away from us and gets to her feet, glaring daggers at Giyu and I. Giyu clenches his teeth.

"You missed me!" She cackles. "Blaze Petals Blood Demon Art: Garden Ashen Swords!"

She sends out flowers that dig into the ground and Giyu and I gasp again as columns of flames burst upward, and extra flowers fly through the air towards us.
