For the first time in six years, I woke up actually happy. I feel fully awake, like the the overcast of sadness has finally gone away. I'm ready to accept everything the day has to offer.

I swiped some blush of my cheeks, finishing up my makeup and lightly curling a few strand of my hair. I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs to meet everyone else. They were all standing in the kitchen drinking coffee and talking.

"How'd you sleep." Steve asked.

"Dude, that bed is like a fucking cloud." I practically moaned as Nancy giggled and handed me a cup of coffee.

"Thank you." I sighed as I sipped the hot liquid. I caught Eddie's gaze out of the corner of my eye, I blushed and gave him a small smile.

"Why are you all dressed up?" Chrissy asked in a yawn.

"Oh yeah, I kinda forgot to mention... I have a book signing today. It wont take long though I promise." I shyly smiled.

"What time?" Nancy asked.

"Like an hour, so I have to get going." I said looking at the clock on their wall, I sat my barely touched cup down and slung my bag over my shoulder.

"Do you need a ride?" Eddie asked.

"Oh no, my publisher is coming to get me." I stopped when the doorbell rang. "Now." I laughed as I walked away.

"Mad, wait." Eddie rushed over to me. "Uh, good luck, today." He said.

"Thank you." I wrapped my arms around him, he tensed for a moment before he relaxed against me. "I'll see you later." I whispered. I pulled away and opened the door, Amber was standing at the door holding a coffee and wearing a bright smile.

"Ugh, I love you. You're a life saver." I groaned as I took the coffee from her small hand. She giggled as we walked to her car.

"You ready for today?" She asked after we were in her car.

"Always am." I smiled.

"You know people are going to ask about a second book." She quirked an eyebrow. "What are you going to say?"

"That another book is in the works." I smiled. Her head snapped to me and she wore a look of confusion.

"Wha-"

"I'm not answering anymore questions." I cut her off.

"No, please. Just tell me." She begged.

"You're starting to sound like my readers." I laughed. She laughed with me as she nodded her head.

We eventually pulled up outside of the Seattle bookstore. People are standing in a line that reached almost four stores away. "I don't think I'll ever get used to this." I breathed.

"Well try, it's only going to get worse with the movie." She giggled before she got out. I opened the door and stepped out hurrying to get inside before I was spotted. It's hard to believe a girl like me from a ridiculously small town like Hawkins is doing book signings and getting recognized like I am.

"I actually have something to tell you." Amber said as she turned to me.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Sit down." She pointed to the chair set up at the table covered in my books.

"Okay.." I slowly sat down, setting my coffee next to me. My heart started to pound fearing bad news.

"So I got a call this morning, and I was going to wait and surprise you but I can't wait." She squealed rocking on her feet.
