The ride to the restaurant was quite, the only sound filling the space was the music that quietly played on the radio. I played with my fingers in my lap while my thoughts went manic and my heart thumped. To say the least, I was nervous. Scared.

I didn't know what to expect I knew that we couldn't just pick up where we left off, my heart wouldn't allow that. I don't know what he's expecting of me, if he's even expecting anything at all. He said to talk, I feared the part of our past that was bound to be brought up.

I knew how I felt about everything, I was still hurt by it all. My once pure soul was damaged from the pain, its always there, always making it's self known to me.

As he neared the restaurant my nerves got worse, I felt my breathing become heavier.

I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.

I repeated over and over in my head, he must have notice my internal struggle because I felt his fingers intertwine with mine in my lap. I looked down and stared at his ring adorned hand, his thumb rubbing soothingly on my skin.

My stomach fluttered at that.

Even after all this time... He knows me, he knows every single little thing about me. He didn't look at me, he didn't have to. He just knew.

A small smile pulled at my lips as I played with the rings on his fingers, an old habit.

He pulled into the parking lot and turned off the car. "Ready?" He asked with a smile.

"Absolutely." I nodded, I took a few deep breathes as he got out of the car and came to my side to help me out. He held open the door and let me grab his hand. My heels clanked against the concrete as I stepped out of the car.

I took a moment to fix my self, my eyes fixed at bottom of my dress before they traveled upward. For the first time tonight I finally got a good look at him and I practically melted. He looked.. Beautiful.

Black jeans with a burgundy shirt tucked in, he left a few top buttons undone, a silver chain rested on his neck, and his hair was in a low bun. When I finally locked eyes with him, he was wearing his signature smirk. He caught me staring, my cheeks flushed bright red.

"You look absolutely beautiful." He let his eyes trail my body, the butterflies in my belly exploded. I felt like I was floating.

"Thank you." I bit my lip. "You look very handsome." He shot my that amazing dimpled grin as he walked closer to me.

He held him arm out and I looped mine with his, I took notice that the entire parking lot was empty and for this being a pretty popular spot in Seattle it didn't make sense.

He held open the door for me, I kept my hand intertwined with his as we approached the dark polished wooden stand.

An older gentleman in a suit approached with a smile. "How can I help you?" He asked.

"Munson." Eddie said. The mans eyes went wide as he stared at him. He quickly cleared his throat as he realized he was gawking.

"Munson. Yes, right this way. We have a very special table picked for you." He smiled and grabbed two menus. Eddie shot me and quick glance before pulling me along with him as we followed.

He stopped at this table placed in the middle of the room, with every single surrounding table empty. I looked around seeing if I could spot anyone, but to no avail. Every single table was empty.

Eddie pulled my chair out for me and let me sit down before taking a seat in his own chair. After the man left the table, soon after a women came over to us with a wine list and some water.
