Silver's Quarters
Chester: walks in Captain, you wanted to speak with me?
Silver: Indeed. Please, make yourself at home.
Chester: You don't have to tell me twice. This ship really is like me home. You and I both know that.
Silver: smiles It's times like this where I'm glad our paths first crossed. When was that ago?
Chester: Almost 8 years ago to the date. I was pinned down near some boxes just as a Blooper pirate was about to smite me. Then, as if a gift from Big Bertha herself, a shot came right through his head. And when he collapsed, I saw you smiling back at me.
Silver: Ah, yes. I remember that day like the back of me fin. Since then, the two of us have been inseparable. Performing feats no pirate could ever dream of achieving.
Chester: I'll drink to that Captain. Though, what did you want to talk about?
Silver: Oh, right. Of course. It's about our new crew that have joined us.
Chester: Is there, a problem with them being here?
Silver: ... Initially, yes. I knew beforehand just how strong Sushie and her crew were and that they could handle themselves, but I still had my doubts about letting them join.
Chester: And those would be...?
Silver: sighs Chester, this war we fight, it hasn't been kind to us one bit. Since the start us Cheep Cheeps have been seen as the inferior creatures of the sea after Big Bertha was killed. Those Blooper pirates have taken so much from us, robbed us not just of our stuff, but our way of life. Showing no remorse for their actions, all to make a point. And every time I hear news about my fellow Cheep Cheeps dying, I die inside as well. And it's because of that that,...
Chester: You're afraid of losing Sushie, right?
Silver: Huh?
Chester: Captain, I know that's what you're thinking. Sushie's an incredible pirate, especially coming from a woman. And you're afraid of losing her as well.
Silver: closes his eyes I've lost so many friends and allies in my life, and many lives taken at the tentacles of Kelpbeard. I don't want to see another Cheep Cheep die ever again. That's the reason we're doing this. Why we're sailing to where we're going to kill Gooper Blooper.
Chester: Then, how come you haven't told Sushie where we're going? If you truly want to keep her safe, you'd tell her what's going on. Or are you just afraid of getting your heart broken yet again by getting to know someone you deeply care about, before they're taken away from you.
Silver: intensely keeping his eyes shut Chester. Go inform Sushie on our destination.
Chester: Shouldn't you be the one to...
Silver: Just, tell her, yourself.
Chester: ... I see. I'll inform Captain Sushie right away leaves
Silver: sitting at his desk, opens a drawer with an old family photo. Silver stares at the photo of him, his mother and father, and a fourth member that's covered by his fin. He looks at it for a few seconds, before putting it back in the drawer. He lets out a sigh and loses himself inside his conscious.
