The bell rang and it was time for P.E. to begin. Elliot went to her locker and was getting changed into her gym clothes. She would mostly get changed in the showers though, because the other girls always joke with her. She tries to avoid them all.
Elliot left for the showers and heard one of the girls talking about her, saying, "Ha! Are you too scared of us? Wow. She must be that weak!" They said in a very rude tone.
Elliot could hear them and felt depression deeply inside her heart. She wanted to cry. But she knew she would speak if she did. So she tried her best to not let it out.
After walking out, she noticed everybody was about to play basketball around the court.
"Come On Elliot! Grab a ball!" Her coach yelled at her, in a frustrated mood.
Elliot pulled up her hands about to use sign language but realized only Lucas knew how to communicate with her. She just stood there quietly.
"She's gonna play with me!" Elliot turned and saw Cindy with a basketball in her hands. "Come on! It's okay!" Cindy said in a sweet voice. Elliot walked toward Cindy slowly. Cindy just grabbed Elliot's hand and pulled her to the court. But that's what she wanted the coach to think.
Instead, she and Elliot went to the corner of the gym.
"I know, I know. You may be wondering why I brought you over here. I just knew you're not the athletic type." Said Cindy.
Elliot let her hands up but already knew Cindy didn't know hand language. She just paused to think...
"Oh! Go on! I know how to understand sign language! I practiced!" Cindy said in a cheerful voice. Elliot was shocked. The only person in her school she thought who knew her hand signs was Lucas.
She stood there and lifted her hands. But out of nowhere...
"WATCH OUT!!!" Elliot turned around as a basketball came in to hit her on the burnt side of her face, hard. She then collapsed on the ground, and... A necklace slipped from her hoodie.
"Elliot! A-Are you okay!?" Cindy asked very freaked.
Elliot lifted her head and noticed her necklace came out of her hoodie. She started to get tears from her face, grabbed the necklace, and ran off to get changed into her normal clothes to leave the class. But...
As soon as she came in, she saw Zack Blue Marsh in the locker room leaning against a locker. Elliot froze and started to go speechless. (Wait... She is speechless...) Then behind her, Jake Red Marsh was behind her, blocking the door. And then she heard footsteps.
"Hello... Elliot..." It was Vindy. Jake grabbed Elliot by the arm. He grabbed and lifted her neck, showing her necklace. Zack then snatched it off of her throat.
He then handed it to Vindy. Jake was starting to grip Elliot's neck, hard. Vindy was holding the necklace in front of Elliot, waving it.
"Tell me... Why? You know we would do this... Oh, wait! You can't tell me... Voiceless..." It started to hurt Elliot. The name, "Voiceless," would make Elliot feel worthless. Vindy walked closer to her. "Since you can't tell me, this is mine. You better let it out." Elliot wouldn't speak. Vindy stepped back. "Very well..."
Jake dropped Elliot to the floor. They left the room. And Cindy ran in. She saw Elliot coughing and crying.
"Elliot! Are you okay?" Cindy asked.
Elliot sat up and started to use her hand signs. She started to use them quickly. (They took my necklace! Please help me!)
Cindy stood there quietly. "Can't you... Oh boy- Get a... A new one?" Cindy stuttered trying not to make Elliot get mad.
