"So, why aren't we going back to the hospital? You just left your mom there." Cindy asked Lucas.
"Because we can't let her know we're about to try and kill this demon. It could kill us." Lucas answered seriously.
"Okay. Then why are we doing this, if it can kill us? We're kids."
"Because this is just a small island, with nowhere to escape to. Sure, we're between America and Australia, but we can't get to those places in time! We wouldn't have enough food to survive because the island is poor."
"You have a point. You're not wrong." Cindy replied. "But where do we go to find the info we need to kill this thin?" Cindy asked.
"I... don't know... I don't know anything we would find answers on this demon. Or keys to killing it. I didn't think about this..." Lucas said with disappointment.
"What about the library? I go there all the time!" Elliot's text is recommended.
"Yeah! That's a good idea! Good thinking Elliot!" Cindy said happily. Elliot blushed in response.
"Except that's the thing. The only library is past the Marsh Mansion from here. There's only one in "Rhea town," which is beside the border of both Ares Village and the mansion." Lucas said.
The three were thinking. How would they be able to get to the "Rhea Library," without getting near the demon? That creature can hear a single heartbeat.
"Elliot, how do you usually get to the library?" Lucas asked.
"You wouldn't like it... But Cindy could handle it." Her text said.
"What?"
"I pass by the school, the gas stop, and then... The Marsh Mansion."
"Why do you pass there? Won't they hurt you?" Lucas asked surprised.
"I have my ways," Elliot said smartly.
"Don't lie to me ever again -_-" Lucas commanded.
"Okay :(" Elliot said.
"So I guess we should reason with my parents?" Cindy insisted.
"I don't think so. Remember Elliot killed Vindy? I think they would try and kill her. I don't want that to happen." Lucas said, trying to change Cindy's mind.
"That... I... You're right. I don't want them to hurt her either." Cindy agreed.
They thought for a moment. The Marsh-Mallow's mansion is not a very kind place. Cindy's parents do not take kindly to people around their mansion. They are very rich, but very lazy trash. Only Cindy isn't trash, or lazy.
"I-I can try to reason with them. I can tell them that we just need to go to the library..." Cindy insisted.
Lucas thought and took a deep breath. "You can try. But I know these guys. I just don't have another choice."
They all walked straight to the mansion. Elliot was hiding behind the gate because she didn't want them to notice her, or do something. Lucas stood beside her, trying to help hide her.
Cindy stepped up on the "Grand Porch," and knocked on the door. The door slammed open and it was her dad.
"Cindy! Where were you?!" Cindy's dad (Victor Green Marsh) asked furiously.
"I was trying to help a friend. Sorry, I made you worry-"
"I wasn't worried!!! You left your parents, and brothers to not be cared for! You left the place a mess!" Victor yelled unhappily.
"We just- I just... want to go to the library..."
"Oh no! You ain't F@#*ing going anywhere!!! You're going to come back inside this instant!" Victor commanded.
"Did he just... swear at Cindy?" Lucas asked concern. He got mad and walked to the porch. He grabbed Elliot and pulled her with him to the porch. "HEY!" Lucas yelled at Victor.
"What do you want!?" Victor stopped and noticed Elliot. "YOU!!!" He ran off the porch, toward Elliot. Luckily, Lucas punched him in the nose and the leg.
"You are not a good father. And if you EVEN think about hurting a young girl, you are completely lost in thought..."
"S-she killed... my daughter..." He said. "Haven't you realized that?"
"Hmm, let me think... NOPE! I'm pretty sure your daughter killed herself." Lucas pointed out.
Victor got off the ground and grabbed his knife, trying not to make them notice. Cindy noticed and took it off him.
"Don't try and kill people, father." Cindy tried to command. She threw the knife to Lucas. He caught it and pointed it at Victor's face. (He's so BADA#!%!!!)
"We just want to go to the library... Let us through. Now! The island could be attacked." Lucas forced Victor.
"Sigh*... Fine. Stupid children... We all know these are lies!" He said as they walked to the library.
"Are lies worse than death? No..." And THIS is why Lucas looks out for Elliot! Victor just got roasted by a teenager XD.
(10 minutes later...)
The three made it to the library. They walked inside and had to figure out what kind of book they needed, to find mysteries of these demons. That is if anyone knows or wrote about these demons. They looked in the history books. They knew demons, and magic was long gone.
They tried everything and couldn't find anything. But just as they almost gave up, a person with his black hood on, put a book on the row, named, "Demons of Necromancer's H#$%." Elliot grabbed the book, but also looked at the person. His skin was white and he had red eyes and a black beard and hair. She felt strange around him. Like he was connected, or something.
Elliot stopped thinking and brought the book to their table. She read it...
"Long ago, a group of necromancers would revive souls or bodies of the dead as their slaves. They mostly were used for evil and mass carnage. These slaves, demons, etc. are noticeable by their terrifying white skin and their one demonic demon eye."
Elliot stopped reading and slammed her hand against the table to alarm Lucas and Cindy. They heard her and rushed to her. Elliot showed Lucas the book.
"Were these some of the traits you noticed on the demon?" Elliot asked.
"YES! It is!" Lucas responded.
They kept reading. "These demons are undefeatable. They CANNOT be slain. But in one Era, a group of four rose to slay the necromancers and the demons. They each had one rune to use to weaken the demon. The heroes would each have certain traits. Brave, Lovable, Determined, and fire."
"Wait... "Fire?" That's not even a..."
"That's not even a trait. What is Fire?" Cindy asked.
"I don't know... Elliot?" Elliot just shrugged her shoulders.
Lucas turned the book around and saw a symbol on the back. It was some kind of flaming eye, with phoenix wings. Lucas didn't know the symbol, so he got up and asked some librarians. After Elliot saw the symbol, she gasped.
"Elliot? What is it?" Cindy asked worried.
Elliot pulled her sleeve up slowly. But suddenly an arrow hit the table. Cindy looked up and saw some "people?" with bows. They shot again but at a librarian.
"RUN!!!"
