Of Orks, Gliders And Lamia
Tara'li
After the trip home my squad seems to be anxious to get going again. The two weeks in the castle got them bunched up I think so we get going as fast as we can. After having flown in the general direction I believe the Orks should be living I have the entire squad land and turn to Flashee. 'I need your help. Your people are the next in line for a visit from us however I do not know where they are. Can you direct us to your people?'
Flashee nods. 'I do have to warn you, Wing Commander. You may get challenged for leadership. And it is possible that, if you are beaten, you have to hand over all your leaderships.'
I close my eyes and scratch my back near the base of my wings. 'If the need arises I got a trick up my sleeve. However until that time, let them come. I'll shove my blade up their throats before I give a toss.'
Flashee nods. 'I know you will. I just have to warn you so I'm not the responsible one if something bad happens.'
I get on Rashter and then turn to Flashee. 'I will only accept one challenge. The challenge of their leader. Anything else I'l just run through with an arrow. I'm not going to waste my time with some petty power squabbles. I got better things to than that.'
Flashee gets on her dragon and raises her hand. 'That is fine by me. I just hope not many get insulted by that as it will be seen as an attack on their honor if you behave to much like they are but ants beneath your feet.'
We take to the air. With Flashee leading we soon find ourselves flying over plains with the occasional roughly build village build here and there. She leads us on until we reach the largest village. There we land in the middle of the village amid the green skins. All around us I see Orks with big axes standing around. Then one particularly bulky Ork walks out of a big building. He grumbles. 'What was that noise. Oh well... the shaman has returned...'
Flashee dismounts her dragon and raises her axe. 'I'm a rider now, boss. She is my boss.'
Flashee points at me with my axe. The boss tries to walk over to me but discovers soon that Noruk and Flashee block his path. As I dismount my dragon he grumbles. A good strong dragon. A dragon worthy of a leader. Worthy of me...'
I tilt my head. 'Well, sadly for you my dragon is soul bound to me. And if you kill me, he'll kill you.'
The Ork raises his axe. 'Then I challenge you! If I win I get your dragon!'
I draw my own sword. 'Whatever you dream. But if I win, all these Ork clans will follow me into war.'
The Ork lowers his axe. 'No human can beat me. And even if you do, we Orks follow no human.'
I raise my sword in front of my face and grab my shield. 'You will follow me. I'm the queen of the Elves.'
The Ork raises his axe. 'Human or Elf, I don't care. Your bones are brittle and your heads are soft. You can't beat an Ork!'
As he arches his axe down I block it with my sword. With a loud and clear voice I speak, making sure as many Orks as possible hear it. 'I accept your challenge. Lets fight it out, you and me. The winner becomes the boss of the loser.'
The Ork seems almost afraid as my squad spreads out to make a perimeter and the Orks gather around to cheer on their boss. Then the Ork steps back, before charging in again. I bash his axe to the side with my shield and sidestep him, lashing out with my sword. The Ork gets mad with fury and swings his axe around again, which I deflect with the shield. The Ork attempts to hit me several times with brutish swings, though he lacks the accuracy to hit anything other than an Ork or maybe a Demon. After bashing his axe aside again I dive past him, lashing my sword at his legs causing him to drop to his knees. It gets silent as the Orks realize I just beat their boss. I raise my sword making my squad cheer.
