Meeting the In-laws

FOURTH'S POV

I can't believe it's Friday already. It's the day I meet the Titicharoenrak clan. I spent the whole night going through social media stalking Gemini's relatives and holy crap his family is wealthy. Like platinum mines wealthy. This made me even more nervous what if I don't fit in? What am if I say something stupid and embaress myself.

Should I cancel? Say I am sick or something. "Come on Fourth pull yourself together! You can't do that to Gemini especially on his birthday." I mumbled under my breathe.

I had spoken to my parents about my relationship with Gemini. My mother kind of knew with me always spending my nights at Gemini's condo, my father was surprised because he didn't know I was into boys but was accepting because he thought Gemini was a good kid from a good family just a little weird. Fon on the other hand knew from the start, I guess it's a twin thing.

I had asked my dad to accompany me to get a gift for Gemini's parents because I couldn't possibly show up empty handed. He insisted on buying a Johnny walker premier rare old scotch whisky which cost almost 18000 baht for Gemini's dad, and he suggested I ask Gemini what is his mother's favourate flowers and buy those along with a box of Godiva chocolatier chocolate gold gift.

I was impressed at how clued up my dad was with these things, he insisted on paying for the gifts and I didn't decline. We had brought Fon along because she felt that I needed something decent to wear and since I had some money to spare I agreed.

I had already called Gemini around the am's and sang a happy birthday, cheesy I know but that's what love does to a person. I walked downstairs to grab something to eat it was already 15h00 in the afternoon. I usually wake up early but I couldn't sleep properly last night with all the stalking I did after all.

"Are you going to the party like that? You look terrible." Fon said. "Thanks Fon" I said sarcastically. "No I am serious, you have dark circles under your eyes." She said inspecting my face closely. "I didn't get enough sleep last night." I replied with a yawn. "Didn't sleep well? Are you nervous about meeting your in-laws." My mother teased. "Mae..." I whined. "Ah ah leave the poor boy alone. What time is the party sport?" My dad asked.

My father had decided to drop me off since he was free that night, he didn't want me to take a taxi. "At 19h00 poh." I answered my dad. "Okay go get ready you will need to get there by 18h50 the latest." My dad said. He had a policy that exactly on time is late, a person needs to be at least 5-10 minutes early. I nodded and took some left over pepper salad from the fridge and started munching. "You should let me cover those dark circles." Fon said and I nodded.

It had been a few hours, Fon covered my  "dark circles" with some of her makeup and insisted on applying a pink lip tint on my lips, and some blush on my cheeks to "accentuate my features" as she said. "Look at you looking all pretty." She said as she smiled proudly to herself after she styled my hair and outfit. "Not pretty but handsome." I said to her as I rolled my eyes. "Pretty! I said what I said." She said poking my forehead.

"Oho looking so handsome." My mother said as she put her hands on my shoulders as to have a better look at me. "Put on some cologne son." My dad said spraying the cologne around my neck. "Poh!!!" I whined and he replied with "a man must always smell good, right Mae?" My mother smiled and nodded. Honestly these people the way they were fussing over me you would swear they are preparing me for a wedding.

After my dropped me off at Gemini's house I hurriedly chased him away and texted Gemini that I was outside his house because I was too chicken to ring the gate bell. I was a ball of nerves and was probably sweating. Gemini's house was insane if we can even call it that, that place is a freaking mansion.
