9. Young Master & his Madam

Lisa has never felt like any of the princesses she had read in the books but tonight, glimpses of their lives came alight. From the way her dress made her feel to the sparkling jewels around her neck and ears, she stepped out of his 'mansion' feeling just as her 'prince charming' had said it - more than a billion dollars. And that's only the beginning.

Five cars escorted their own to what looked like a big house by a cliff - overlooking the vast ocean. Apart from its wooden, white planks as a structure, the terrace's docks is covered with high glass windows behind towering columns. It looks like a palace in her simple, unassuming eyes.

The fact that there are also a few plants and flowers in pots around is pretty! Is this his other house? The one he mentioned before? How many houses does he have exactly? This looks much nicer than the house before. More friendly...it was all bricks and gloomy while this - this seems magical!

The thought of being fired is still lingering in her mind, as much as she tries to accept it. She just can't help but worry of what will become of her, once Guk no longer likes her this much. Just like the big, mean man to mommy...but he said he won't lock me up so...maybe not like them? 

Being slightly cautious about the amount of men surrounding the house as well as behind them, she lets Guk take her hand once she's out of the car. Is it necessary to have this many people around? Are they guarding the house or...

"These um...security people..." She looks up to his face and saw the slightly raised eyebrow, as if he's laughing at her. 

"'Security people'?" Guk repeats in his own humor. "That's new..." Well, I don't know what to call them! 

"Are they all your staff?" She braves herself to still asks when two of those men bowed to him and proceeded to speak with Ji-Hu.

"Yes." 

Oh...so many! Lisa counted 20 men who followed them out of Guk's compound earlier, 21 including Ji-Hu. She doesn't have much time to count each heads she's seeing at the entrance of this amazing house but she is sure that it's at least 50 if not more. I didn't even know there are that many people living on this island! All I've seen are at the harbour and Paradise...

"And they're just standing around..." She mumbles out the curiosity. "Why do you need so many men to stand around?"

Guk clipped his lips and she spotted the cute dimples that she loved on him. "They stand around to protect me. And you, of course."

Protect... He led her into the double-doors and a man with grey hair greeted them. He looks like a well-groomed and soft-spoken person despite the deep voice. It's his eyes, she decided - the way those droopy eyelids smile as if he's contented. Is he the owner of this beautiful house? He looks sharp in that entirely black outfit - how old is he? It sure is quiet...does he live alone?

Lisa's eyes began scanning to the wide space inside and her mouth drops open. The first thing she noticed was the big fountain - accommodating the foyer with a height that reaches the first floor. There are no ceilings, only opened spaces in the middle while each sides on the rest of the 3-storeys surround the foyer like the docks she had seen from outside. 

Right at the top sits a dome-like glass roof, something she hadn't noticed while they were in the car earlier. It's like a private space out in the open...only it's inside. I've never seen anything like this in the story books - so beautiful! The scent of fresh greens enchants her even more, coming from and around the fountain.

"Young Master Jeon, delighted to see you again," The sleek-suited man said, dipping his head down.

Young...Master...what?
