I sat in class doing my school work as Lizzy baby screamed her lungs out, Lizzy got knocked up and now had to take care of the kid and to her credit she was trying her hardest to but it was too much for her and she had no idea what she was doing "Lizzy please quiet down your child" the teacher says. I glanced at Lizzy and she looked horrible bags under her eyes and practically running on auto pilot as she dragged herself around. She picked her kid up and tried to cokes her to sleep but to no avail, "Please stop screaming, momma needs to do her class work" she says trying to figure out what the child wanted. I finished my paper and handed it in, I made my way over to Lizzy "Hey, I can look after her while you do your work" I offer "Have you ever taken care of a child?" She asked "Yeah, at my old colony I volunteered at our nursery. I have loads of experience with kids" I say. She gave me a weak smile and handed me her child, I gently rocked her right there and hummed a lullaby before returning to my seat, it only took a few minutes before the child was fast asleep in my arms and I got a few looks from people who were surprised I could take care of a child. I kept her until the bell went signaling the end of the day, as I got up and made my way over to Lizzy I saw her fast asleep on her desk "Too many night up late" I thought. Doll gently shook her awake and once she finally came to she took her child back. "Do you need someone to babysit? You need to get a proper sleep Lizzy" I offer "No.... I'll be *yawns* fine" she says. I tear a strip of paper off and write my phone number on it "If you ever need anything or change your mind, give me a call. I'm more then happy to help" I say handing it to her "I'll keep that in mind..." she says on the verge of passing out. "Doll can you get Lizzy, she's about to fall asleep again" I asked "Yes, you take Lilly" she says. I took Lilly from Lizzy again and Doll helped Lizzy up.

We made our way to her place and got inside "Oh look who's finally ho... don't tell me she's getting you to take care of her kid" her father says "No she never asked, I offered to help out" I say "Don't, it's her problem not yours" he says "And? I love kids it's why I volunteered at the nursery all the time" I say as Doll took Lizzy to her room, "So why should you help her? She made the mistake and she need to take responsibility for it" he says "And she's trying her hardest to, I'm just going to teach her a few things to help her be a better mom" I say before leaving and taking Lilly to Lizzy's room. I got in and saw Lizzy sitting on her bed crying with Doll next to her, I got Lilly into her crib and sat next to Lizzy "You okay?" I asked "No! I'm alone in this! He left me alone to raise our kid!" She says "Your not alone Lizzy, Doll and I are here to help you, I know how to take care of kids, I'll teach you as well." I say "Your both here to help?" She asked. Doll got a look of discomfort before getting up and leaving without saying a word, Lizzy cried more seeing as her best friend wouldn't help her with this. I pulled her into a hug seeing as she desperately needed one "I'm not leaving you Lizzy, I've already told you I'm here to help in anyway I can" I say, I gently rocked Lizzy as she cried for awhile before she calmed down "Thanks *yawns* Y/n" she says "Get some sleep Lizzy, you need it" I say. She no sooner laid down when Lilly started whining, she was about to get up when I stopped her "I'll look after her, you rest" I say, I got up and walked over to Lilly who was staring at me once I came into her view "Hello little one" I say as she whines again I picked her up "What's wrong? Are you hungry?" I asked. Apparently she wasn't hungry as she started giggling at me, with the noise she was making I decided to take her out into there living room where I was greeted by two very different reactions "Didn't I tell you not to help her?" Her father asked "It's not your child, it's Lizzy's and she needs help" I say playing with Lilly as she giggled "That's sweet of you to help her, lord knows she needs it" her mother says "No it's Lizzy's responsibility!" Her father says "So you left your wife to raise Lizzy on her own then? Or did both of you do it?" I asked "Watch your tone!" He snaps "It takes two to raise a kid, and seeing as her actual father ran away from it, I'm doing it" I say "So what there can't be single parents?" He asked "There can, but they have jobs, aren't typically in school, and have help to raise them. Your trying to make Lizzy do everything" I say "Cause it's her and that kids fathers responsibility to raise her not yours" he says "Well he's not in the picture anymore, and I'm choosing to help her. This kid isn't my responsibility your right on that part, but that doesn't mean I can choose to make her my responsibility" I say, Lilly's soother fell out of her mouth and as I went to pick it up I realized how destroyed it was missing most of the rubber part. I got up and went over to my bag grabbing a new one and unpacking it for her, I gave it to her and sat back down "Why do you just have one of those?" Her mother asked "At my old colony I helped out in the nursery a lot, so I decided to grab a bunch of them incase I ever need to give the kids a new one" I say "So you actually like kids?" She asked "Yes I do, it's why I want to help Lizzy. She's not prepared to be a mother and needs the help. I'm in no way a father but I know a thing or two about taking care of them" I say "That is sweet of you, where's Lizzy now?" She asked "Sleeping, she really needs it. I offered to look after Lilly for awhile so she could" I say "Hmf! She should be taking care of her" he says "And she is! Over the past few days I have seen Lizzy give up her social life, cheerleading, and just about everything else to take care of her, her best friend just ditched her. She's trying her hardest to provide for Lilly and be a good mom but she needs help" I say "Here Y/n you go home, I'll take care of Lilly till Lizzy gets up" she says "You sure? I don't mind" I ask "Yes, you still have school tomorrow as well" she says "Okay, if you need anything just give me a call" I say "Bless your heart Y/n, you really do care about her" she says taking Lilly from me. "I've already given Lizzy my number incase she needs more help from me or to babysit" I say getting up, I grabbed my bag and made my way home falling asleep once I got there.

I sat around at lunch eating alone as per usual as I didn't have any real friends when Lizzy sat down with Lilly "Hey Y/n, thanks for everything yesterday, I really needed it" she says "Ah no problem, I like kids and she's great" I say finishing off my food "She's noisy, I've been kept awake by her screaming so many nights now" she says "Oh? Then again I know how to cokes a baby to sleep" I say smiling "Yeah you hey! I'm not a baby!" She says realizing I put her to bed as well last night. I laughed "No but you definitely slept like one" I say "So Dolls blocked me on everything..." she says "Who hasn't at this point?" I asked "You" she says "Oh... I figured Rebecca would still be around" I say "No, even she left me" she says "Well guess that leaves me to be your friend" I say as Lilly whines a little. "No Lilly don't start already" she says. "Lizzy she wants something, try cuddling her against your chest and humming" I say, she gave me a quizzical look but did as I told her to. Lilly didn't make a peep and relaxed "How did you know she wanted cuddles?" She asked "It's not just cuddles, she's listening to your internals. She recognizes them and finds them comforting" I say "Huh? That's odd" she says "It makes perfect sense, she grew with those being the only sounds she could hear for the longest time until she was born. There familiar to her so she finds comfort in them" I explain "Still a little odd, but I guess I can see it. Say what are you doing tonight?" She asked "Nothing much, mostly sitting around watching shows and doing school work I didn't finish" I say "Can I come over and learn how to take care of Lilly? You know a whole lot and I want to as well" she says "Of course you can, anytime you want to learn just ask. I'm more then happy to teach you" I say. "Great! And thanks for giving her a new soother, she loves it" she says "Any time, I got loads of things you might want for her, your more then welcome to them" I say "Really? You'll just give them to me?" She asked "Of course I will, you need all the help you can get" I say "Wow thanks, you really are amazing" she says. We continued to talk for the entire lunch break and soon we were walking to classes together and chatting between classes. I even took Lilly on my free block so Lizzy could participate in gym class, I got more then a few looks and a teacher even talked to me asking why I had Lizzy's child but once everything got explained and they talked to Lizzy about it I basically became Lilly dad of sorts. Lizzy came to my place after school since I was more supportive then her dad was and even slept there a few times, as Lizzy became a better mom her mother began to get a softer tone to me and Lizzy's working together to provide for Lilly. Tonight tho something was different Lizzy was acting differently, she was more affectionate than normal. Hey Y/n, wanna watch a movie?" She asked "Sure, I just put Lilly to bed so we have the night to ourselves" I say "Great!" She says getting the T.V ready, I made some snacks for us and grabbed drinks before sitting down next to her, but she had other plans and pushed me down laying on top of me "You know Y/n I've realized something" she says "That being?" I asked slightly nervous "We're a couple, think about it, we take care of a kid, I basically live here with you, you act like a father and take care of Lilly and me. We are basically a couple who hasn't said we are yet. So what do ya say we make it official?" She asked, I didn't verbally respond but wrapped my arms around her as she leaned in and kissed me. "So I'm Lilly father then?" I asked as we broke from the kiss "I don't plan on telling her other wise" she says before smiling again. We didn't pay much attention to the movie and just enjoyed our new relationship.
