Shattered

The world you ignore
I've seen it all.
The violence,
The pain.
People cheating as though its a game.
The dead die
Whilst the living lie...
Babies screaming whilst mothers cry.
In all the world nobody does anything
But ask who.
They ignore the calls of the fallen
And weak.
Helping one another out is obviously not the goal
You seek.
I sit and weep.
For all those who need it.
The child who's beat.
The mother without a child.
I'd take on hells harshest heat.
Take the paths that are overgrown and wild.
Try to help the world be beautiful.
See the error in its ways.
Eliminate the acts that are crucible.
Give people happy places to spend their days.
But I'm just a girl.
Alone in the world.
And it continues to spin and twirl.
