You know that you're going
To do something with your life
If you're an honors student

But what if you don't
You could always be fired

Sure,
You could get another job
But what if it happens again?
You might end up being the guy
That can't hold a job.
Then you go to your high school reunion.
They all think you made it big
So you try to put on a show
But they still find out,
That you're the guy
Who can't hold a job.
You're the guy
Who failed.
You're the guy they all thought
Would make it.
It's disappointing
When you don't meet the expectations
But when you don't meet your own expectations
You know you have to do something.
But you don't,
Because you don't think you can.
Because you don't have any courage.
Because you lost all your confidence
When you started working at fast-food restaurants
And ice cream stands and hot dog carts.
You used to be
The guy that could get it all.
The guy who would make it.
The guy that everybody liked.
Now you're just a disappointment.
