Since we hit the fire hydrant, all people have been doing is looking out the window, one kid even said that we were going to die because the bus was going to explode. Thats the type of trash some people start just to get some attention.

"Do you think we'll be late for school?" Asked Terra, clearly worried.

I checked my cell phone, it read 10:07. We were a little over an hour late.

"We might be a little late, but dont worry, you'll still make Home Ec in time if we get to school soon," I tell Terra. That's Terra's favorite class. When I say favorite, I mean favorite. If you've seen her in that class behind the stove, you wouldn't complain. She could be a chef when she grows up. No lie at all. Terra might even be better than Mrs. Wain, our home ec teacher.

"Ok, but if we dont, I swear I'm gonna sue this school. Its not my fault were late, its the freaking bus drivers fault."

"Whatever you say, Terra," I say with a smile. I cant help but smile inside and out every time she says something like that. Other than her cooking skills, Terra can put up quite a fight. I learned that the hard way when her mom wanted me to come with her to the doctors when she was 5. She kicked and screamed for an hour straight when she found out she had to get a shot.

I looked out the window and watched our bus driver. She was arguing with some man about the accident. I dont know why some other bus hasn't come pick us up yet, but at least I'm not at school. I had some History test on World War II, and I forgot to study.

Next thing I know, everyone is standing up to get off the bus. The bus driver is still arguing with that guy, who now has some backup with him. I think he owns the land we ran over, and I dont think he's too happy about some big tire marks squishing his precious begonyas. I stood up, supporting myself with the back seat, since the seats are so close together, it's almost impossible to stand up without falling over, even when the bus isnt in motion. Someone at the front of the bus is telling us to get into a line, but of course something's going on in the back. I hear someone get shoved into a seat.

Once we step off the bus, it felt good to smell some fresh air again. I probably sound stupid, though, so I didnt say it outloud. Someone's parent had offered to drive a few of us to school, the others were told to call their parents and ask for rides. I got to go with the car, and so did Terra. My other friends werent so lucky and had to travel to school with the jocks, who might as well beat the crap out of Joey now. Joey's my second closest friend, and he's like a big brother to me. He plays soccer on the football team, and he's pretty good. He does, however, say some pretty weird things sometimes.  I just pray he wont spit out something stupid on the half-hour ride to school.
