Terra and I made it to school at the beginning of second period. Even though I'm probably going to get an earful from my History teacher, Mr. Smith, at least I'll have more time to study.
"We're too late," Terra said with disappointment. I knew that she was talking about her Home Ec class, and that did not put her in a happy mood.
"Terra! Ara!" I heard someone yell. From the years of spending time with him, I could immediately tell it was Joey. Terra and I turned around and saw Joey running towards us with his backpack slug over one shoulder, bouncing up and down awkwardly.
"Hey Joey! So, how was your amazing trip to school?" I said mockingly.
"Ha ha very funny Ara. And for your information Clark got wedgied on the way here, which I didn't even know was possible to do in such a small space."
Just then, Clark walked in through the doors, waddling like a penguin.
Joey signaled towards him with a look that said "I-told-you-so-now-stop-mocking-me-that-wasn't-fun". I just smiled at him and looked over at Terra. She was laughing hysterically with her head down, holding herself up by gripping onto my shoulder. I couldn't help but laugh with her a little.
"Oh...my...god," Terra said between laughs. Joey just shook his head like he was ashamed or something.
"Okay, we have to head to class. Don't want to miss any of those fun quadratic equations!" I said with mock enthusiasm.
We laughed and went our separate directions, saying bye to each other. I passed the main office on the way to my class, and Clark was sitting there, miserable, I really did feel bad for that kid.
