You were back in your bedroom. The door was still on the floor but Mobius and the minutemen were gone. Sylvie stepped in behind you, uncomfortably close. You didn't have a chance to turn around before she was right behind you holding a knife to your throat.
"Take me to the Time Keepers," she snarled using her other arm to hold you around your waist tight. Your mind was racing, trying to think of any way out of this. You couldn't possibly lead her to the time keepers. At the same time you didn't know a way around this. Unless..... you took her to the time keepers the long way around. It would give you enough time for the minutemen to notice and capture her.
"Let's go then," you said. She removed the knife from your throat and waited for you to lead the way. The both of you headed out of your room and down the hallway. You made sure to take all left turns, knowing that going right would take you straight to the Time Keepers. Thankfully, Sylvie never noticed, either because she was too busy looking at every turn and corner with her machete battle ready, or because she had no idea about the layout of the TVA. The halls were unusually empty which was not working in your favor. Normally everybody was everywhere and you were getting frustrated. Figured when you actually needed someone no one was around.
Just when you were beginning to lose all hope, you heard voices. You couldn't see them yet but you could tell they were right around the corner. Sylvie heard them too. She grabbed your wrist and held you against the wall while she peeked around the corner. You peeked your head around the corner as best you could too. It was a group of them, 10 to be exact. You could see Sylvie contemplating wether or not to fight.
"We'll hide in here," she said pushing you into a broom closet. "If I fight I know you'll run and I need you. Don't make a sound," she threatened as you both crammed into the small space.
It was way too small to fit the both of you. You were pushed up against the wall and Sylvie was pressed up against you slightly. She rested her hands against the wall on either side of you to keep herself from leaning all the way on you. You bent your legs slightly to avoid meeting her face to face which forced her to look down at you. You could hear the group approaching and your heart started beating faster. Your people were about to be just outside the door where you could call for help. Either you had a look on your face or Sylvie could hear your heartbeat because she looked down at you and covered your mouth with her hand. She stared down at you and you glanced at her. She pressed your mouth tightly closed and leaned into you closer. You could feel the heat radiating off of her body. She looked fierce and not in the mood to play. Instead of focusing on her intense stare you looked down at your feet and listened to what was going on outside. They were right outside the door now and you could hear the voices clearly. Sylvie tightened her grip on your mouth and placed her leg between yours completely closing the space between you. Sylvie was clenching her jaw, as if daring you to make a move. You kept your eyes trained on the door and tried not to pay attention to her stare.
Minutes that felt like hours passed by and the voices faded away, with it the grip Sylvie held on you. She opened the door and pulled you through back into the hallway. You continued on your journey taking small detours not realizing you weren't paying attention to where you were actually going. The thought of running into another group distracted you, so much so that you didn't realize you led the both of you right to a dead end. A dead end with a door that is. You had been so distracted your own plan was starting to go sideways.
"The doors to the Time Keepers are gold and lead to an elevator. Where did you take me," Sylvie said raising her machete in a threatening manner.
"This door gets us there. Unless you want to find your own way?" You said not confidently because you knew this definitely was not the way.
"Let's get on with it," she said after a moments consideration.
You opened the door and walked into the next room. Immediately you recognized that this was the boiler room.
You turned quickly towards Sylvie, "don't let that door!......." It was too late, the door slammed shut behind Sylvie with a loud bang.
"That door doesn't open from the inside. We're stuck in here," you said with a slight panic.
"This isn't the way to the Time Keepers, you're stalling," she said angrily as she stepped towards you.
"I'm not stalling I just took a wrong turn," you said taking a few steps back to keep the distance between the two of you.
"So how do we get out of here?" Sylvie asked scanning the room.
"We can't. I've been stuck in here before. We're going to have to wait until someone lets us out," you explained as calmly as possible.
"You better be joking. I don't have time to stand around and wait for your friends to save us," Sylvie spat as she continued to look for a way out.
"There isn't any other option. We're both stuck in here waiting," you said hoping that somebody would come to let the both of you out soon. You knew the boiler room was going to get hotter and hotter and that it was about to be an unpleasant experience for the both of you. The last thing you wanted was to be stuck in a small room alone with this variant. You walked to the other side of the room and slid down the wall sitting on the floor. It was about to be a very long day.
