"So basically, you turn into a cat for 6 hours and it can be cured by finding your true love?" Marinette enquired, as Adrien nodded.

"Then find your true love, idiot!" She giggled, but Adrien sighed. It's not that easy, I don't think I love anyone like that, he reasoned.

"Enough about me, but Marinette, do you realise you told me everything you wanted to hide from me?" He smiled sadly. Marinette flushed, and looked down, her cheeks covering a rosy red colour.

It had been years since he saw Marinette blushing. Earlier, it was so cute seeing her blush. But then the website happened, and suddenly she grows all mature, and all that is gone.

It was refreshing to see the colour that matched her and made her so beautiful.

"I spilt your party news tomorrow," She bashfully added, the colour never leaving her cheeks.

"Oh don't worry about that, it was pretty obvious since Nino had mentioned it earlier." He winked, as both of them giggled.

"I wonder what was your Andre's flavour every time you visit?" He suddenly questioned. Marinette blinked and blushed furiously.

"Oh, it's nothing important," She said, as Adrien chuckled.

"It is important! Come on, you share everything with Alya and Nino and not with me?" He fake-pouted, making Marinette giggle.

"Peach pink like his lips and mint like his eyes—" She spilt everything out quickly.

"Hey, you don't think it Luka, isn't it?" He practically spat his name like venom. Marinette observed this and laughed heartily.

"You—you think it's Luka?" She giggled again. This time, Adrien blushed.

"Well since that day—"

"How rude, you were eavesdropping!" She fake gasped. Adrien smirked.

"I am a cat, and we cats are curious, aren't we?" He emphasised the word, making her laugh again.

"So if you are a cat, you purr?" Before he could reply, she started petting his blonde locks, releasing a light growl from his body.

This made both of them freeze.

Marinette started laughing hysterically, but all their fun was disrupted when she began coughing again. Adrien quickly came to her side and massaged her back.

Exhaling a breath, she was finally stable.

"Seems like we both need a bit of luck," Adrien jokingly added and lightened the mood again.

"But we'll get through this together, won't we?" Marinette shyly said. Adrien blushed, and gently wrapped his hands around her, interlocking them.

"Of course Marinette, we against the world."

The next day, when Adrien successfully got inside his house and acted all normal, the Agrestes bade goodbye to the Tsurugis. This time, however, he pretended to have caught a cold. Kagami being the perfectionist didn't kiss him. He knew the antidote to keep her away!

It was the next day after his birthday, as usual, he acted all surprised but was genuinely happy seeing everyone wishing him a happy birthday and gifting him loads of gifts. Some parts of his life may have screwed up but moments like these filled those gaps.

And what brightened his day the most was Marinette back to her life, cheerful as ever. Not even Lila's lies about how she was busy with all the charity to forget his birthday could destroy her smile.

Lila being the jealous freak she is, tried every hook and crook to get his attention, but it was all for nothing.

Adrien approached Marinette at last, who had a small box ready for him. She shyly handed him the box, as he gazed in awe at what she had made.

"I think we both needed some good luck, so I made a ladybug-themed charm for you, you know they are known for good luck, but if you don't like it I can obvi—" She was silenced when she felt a soft peck on her cheek.

"It's beautiful Marinette, anything gifted to anyone is a precious gift when it's filled with love and warmth," They both blushed.

"I— suffer— suppose you like it then?" She stuttered, reminding Adrien of old times.

"I love it Marinette," He said. He leaned in and whispered into her ear, "I'll see you tonight." With that, he slowly back walked, winking and waving at her. Then he finally turned and rushed to his limousine for his next photo shoot.

Marinette was a blushing mess afterwards.

"WHAT WAS THAT GIRL?!" Alya screeched when they were hanging out in the park, on a very fine Wednesday evening.

"It feels like a dream Alya," Marinette sighed.

"Make the dream come true girl, ask him out!" She spelt the words in the sentence, but Marinette being the stubborn one denied it.

"No Alya, we are strictly friends. I am so happy when friendship gives me this, I don't even want more! Besides, there's Kagami," She reasoned.

Alya muttered under her breath again, "The longest river in Egypt is denial."

Adrien's photoshoot went smoothly and quickly, all because he thought of his sweet Marinette when his photographer told him to smile like a lovestruck fool.

He had given a double thought while doing so. He can't deny anymore that she was just a friend. In the past few days, the times he spend with her as a cat and a human, he knew that he liked her in a romantic way.

She was like an oasis to his desert, bringing out the cat inside him every time he sees her. He was a blind fool to not comprehend whatever Andre's icecreams had been hinting for so long, it was obvious she was the only one with bluebell eyes and midnight blue hair.

If only could he have opened his eyes earlier. But he will take whatever chance life throws on him to make her feel like the princess she is, starting from tonight.

She never deserved to be in such a cruel world.

So after dinner, he immediately transformed into a cat, knowing he will be back as Adrien after 2 AM. Till that time, he kept planning how his future will be. They will get married. Three kids, a hamster, their happily ever after—

The clock struck 00 AM in no time, and he bolted out of his room.
