Hermione's POV
Word has spread faster than the wind. The moment I stepped foot out of the floo into the Ministry Atrium, camera were flashing all around me. Apparently, someone in the Leaky Cauldron had overheard what happened last night and leaked it to the Prophet. Reporters were surrounding me and Draco, questions thrown all around.
"Is it true that Ron Weasley cheated on you?"
"How long has this been happening? Why Pansy Parkinson?"
"Have you been secretly with Draco Malfoy?"
It was absolute carnage. We tried to push through towards the lifts but it was no joy. All of a sudden, a loud voice boomed across the Atrium of the Ministry.
"Can all journalists and reporters please move away from Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy. Please disperse from the atrium, otherwise you will be forcibly removed and possibly arrested." Kingsley Shacklebolt, the Minister of Magic spoke every word as clear as day.
Instantly, the room cleared. People ran towards the Floo and I finally had the chance to breathe, still trembling.
"Well, I don't know about you but I did not expect that. We need to get your side of the story out straight away." Draco mumbled as we finally made it to the lift.
As the gate style door closed to the lift, I had stopped trembling and composed myself.
"Level 2 - Department of Magical Law Enforcement"
"This is my stop, I'll get writing to the Prophet as soon as I enter my office. I have lunch at 1pm if you'd like to meet me." I turn to Draco, he nodded and I walked toward my office.

Draco's POV
How on earth did word get around THAT fast? Who in the world could of been sat at the bar and noticed that, it better not be that Skeeter women or I'll ensure she never sees the light of day again.
"Level 6 - Department of Magical Transportation"
Stepping out of the elevator, I walked down the hall towards my office. Nodding at colleagues as I walked, not in the mood to create any small talk today.
I'm still shocked that Weasley actually cheated on Hermione Granger, worst of all with Pansy. I mean don't get me wrong, I know me and Granger have been sworn enemies for the best part of our lives, but she's matured and aged like a fine wine. I regret all the bad things I've ever said to her and I know I never ever want to see her cry again.
If Granger doesn't get revenge, I sure will. That Weasel has a face that needs a good punch, and I'm sure it'll be my fist that will deliver it.

Hermione's POV
This morning was well and truly dragging. Every minute felt like an hour, I couldn't concentrate. I had files upon files on my desk. With a flick of my wand, I managed to sort them out via urgency.
As I made my way through them, looking at all sorts of petitions for new laws, requests for Death Eater retrials, I finally managed to close the last file, sit back and take a breath.
The clock chimed, 1pm and just like that, the door knocked.
"Come in" I shouted, standing up and smoothing down my dress.
"Have you seen it? HAVE YOU SEEN THE FRONT PAGE?" Ginny shouted as she walked in, Draco followed behind, eyes wide open in awe of Ginny screaming.
"Hello Ginny, nice to see you. Please feel free to tell the world about your disapproval for the front page."
