Hermione's POV

As the Weasley weekly dinners comes round again, all I can think about is last night. Draco was going to kiss me. I was going to kiss Draco. We were going to kiss. What was I thinking? Was it the alcohol? The kindness I saw in him? His bloody free house elf?

God what did I do?

The moment I stepped out of the Floo into my house, I buried my head into my hands and groaned. Was it regret? Did I regret not kissing him? Should I of kissed him?

I had a thousand questions circling around my head.

In my tipsy state, I wrote a quick letter to Ginny saying I'd meet her at her mothers rather than going to her and Harry's house. I imagine she will be quite hungover tomorrow, as will I. Even with a hangover potion, I knew I couldn't go over to her house. Harry would of told her that they left before me and she would be asking me another thousand questions. At least if I saw her at her mothers, she wouldn't bombard me – or at least I hope not.

I'd spent the morning taking a lovely bath, finding myself replaying the memory of Draco leaning in. Did he share the same feelings as me? What are my feelings?

There was no denying the tension. It's like there is a string pulling us together, like magnets finding each other. The realisation dawns on me, thinking about when he steps into a room, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, my gaze is always finding his. I'd not relaised it sooner.

Am I angry about it? No. Do I know what this means? Not really.

Should I speak to him? Absolutely not.

Last night could've been a mistake. He could've had too much to drink. I find myself trying to find reasons for him leaning in for a kiss. Could there be a possibility that he likes me?

It was a really nice night, spending time with Theo and Blaise made me feel like I could welcome them into my life. New friends.

I know Ginny is going to question me as soon as she sees me, maybe I need her input. Ginny has a knack for seeing things from a different perspective. She is also extremely observant which I think I need.

After getting dressed into simple pair of jeans and a white top, I notice the time. With only an hour until I need to be at the Weasley's, I sat at my desk in my home office and began reading some of the case files from the last working week to take my mind off the whole Draco scenario.

We were still no further with finding out where the two Death Eaters were. Sightings were still coming in, we had our muggle transportation team spread out across the country but it felt like we're trying to catch smoke with our bare hands. The two Death Eaters were our main priority now, but that doesn't stop our usual and normal crime from happening. There were arrest files for our known criminals, those that do small petty theft and some reports about a potential illegal potion making group who are buying, making and selling illegal potions on the Black Market. There aren't many potions that are illegal, there are a good number that have restricted sale – Amortentia and the Death Potion as an example. This can only be sold at a fully licensed store and the buyer must provide their full name, show their wand and this is then reported to the ministry.

These rules are the reason why we have people attempting to buy illegal or restricted potions from the black market. They're dangerous and we should know if or when they're being used.

From the initial report, there were some statements from people who've reported the possibility of the love potion being used on them. This prompted an Auror to reach out to every known purchaser and verify if they'd used said potion and if not then what were their plans for it. This was a dead end, in the last 30 days, those who'd bought the potion still had it in their possession meaning it was either someone who'd purchased it a while ago, or we were looking at the black market.
