Hermione's POV

The week after the eventful Weasley dinner flew by. Each day I was getting more and more owls from men who thought they were 'potential suiters' and asking me out to dinner. Mary was inundated with letter addressed to me, she opened and read every single one of them. This isn't as glamorous as it sounds, men were going to all lengths to win me over. At the start of the week, we had an incident where Mary had eaten some chocolates addressed to me which were laced with Amortentia – a love potion. Poor Mary was claiming she was in love with a man named Thomas and I was trying to steal him from her. Safe to say Thomas had to pay a hefty fine and faced 1 week in Azkaban for the unlawful use of the potion.

Work was as busy as ever, on Monday afternoon following at meeting with Kingsley, Harry and I had announced to the whole department of MLE that there were 2 Death Eaters on the loose and unaccounted for and what we knew so far. Kingsley wanted this to be public knowledge, the more people knew that Macnair and Lestrange were on the loose, it would allow people to be more vigilant and provide the 2 Death Eaters less places to hide.

This meant spending the rest of Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning speaking with journalists and the press. Luckily for me, this took up all of the attention for the newspapers and radios. News spreads fast, and I was no longer on the front page for being a single woman.

Harry and the Auror's were undertaking more raids. Draco worked closely with the Auror's to provide assistance with safe houses, dark cloaking spells and along with Cure Breakers, the identification of antiques that certainly belonged in Borgin and Burkes.

This meant that I found myself spending more time with Draco that I'd anticipated. I didn't need to be in the meetings with him and Harry, I wasn't exactly bringing anything to the table, but for some reason I found myself seeking him out and wanting to be in his presence. I was trying to be discreet, making up excuses for spending time with the Aurors and Draco, luckily no one seemed to bat an eyelid.

By the time we got to Thursday, we'd exhausted all leads that had come through to us. Sightings of the 2 Death Eaters were becoming less and less and we resorted to speaking with the muggle Prime Minister. It was actually Draco who came up with this idea. He mentioned that as the whole of Wizarding Britain were on the look out for the Rabastan and Walden, and we'd not had any information that would point to them leaving Britain, Draco said they must be moving around the country via Muggle Transport. It was ingenious if that was the case, so we raised the idea with Kingsley who set up a meeting with the Prime Minister.

The meeting wasn't that eventful, but it was weird to see Draco working with muggles so casually. It was refreshing to see but it stirred up feelings that I'd not felt in a long time. Don't get me wrong, Draco is exquisite. He is handsome, confident and is always 2 steps ahead of everyone else. I'll be honest, what I'm feeling now is something I don't think I've felt since Ron kissed me in the Chamber of Secrets during the war. Did I fancy him? I think so. Did I want to kiss him? Absolutely.

By the end of the week, we had built a new team in Muggle Transportation who would conduct surveillance on transport in the muggle world. There were about 30 people in total, working in pairs basically travelling across Britain on buses, trains and the underground in London. They would keep their eyes peeled for the 2 Death Eaters, working in shifts and reporting back to Draco, Harry and myself. Draco suggested we placed people to travel up to 10 miles from where the sightings were.

Hats off to Draco for the idea, he had excelled at rounding a team together and setting the agenda. Seeing him hold the power of a team allowed my feelings to resurface. As I was leaving work on Friday evening, I knew I had it bad for him. Never did I think I'd say these words, but I fancy Draco... I fancy Draco a lot.
