"Sweetie, I'm sorry, but you'll have to transfer to Decelis Academy," Aera, Sunoo's mom, broke the news to her son with a heavy heart.
"Mom? Why? Am I not doing well enough with homeschooling?" Sunoo's mind raced with worry. He feared his parents were sending him to a new school because he hadn't performed up to their expectations.
"That's not the reason, Sunoo," his father interjected, sensing his son's anxiety.
"We're moving to another city, and you'll be attending Decelis Academy," Mr. Kim explained, leaving Sunoo with a whirlwind of questions and uncertainty.
Moving to a new city? Decelis Academy? The name held no familiarity for him.
"But Dad, I've been homeschooled all this time. What if I can't make friends at the new school?" Sunoo's voice quivered with a mix of apprehension and fear. The thought of starting over in an unfamiliar place seemed overwhelming.
Aera placed a comforting hand on Sunoo's shoulder, trying to soothe his worries. "Sweetie, I understand your concerns. It won't be easy, but change often brings new opportunities. I believe you'll make friends in no time. Besides, Decelis Academy is renowned for its excellent education and supportive community." Her words did little to ease Sunoo's fears.
He looked down at the ground, contemplating the uncertain future that lay ahead. It wasn't just about making friends; it was about navigating new hallways, encountering unfamiliar faces, and stepping into the unknown.
Mr. Kim knelt down, placing a hand on Sunoo's other shoulder. "Son, I know this might seem overwhelming, but your mother and I believe this is the best decision for our family. Decelis Academy offers incredible opportunities, and we want you to have the best education possible."
Sunoo's parents exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with concern and determination. They knew the transition wouldn't be easy, but they were convinced it was the right path for his future.
Taking a deep breath, Sunoo looked up at his parents. Their unwavering support and love shone through their eyes. While his heart remained heavy with uncertainty, a glimmer of hope began to flicker within him. Perhaps this move to Decelis Academy could lead to new adventures, lifelong friendships, and unexpected discoveries.
"Alright," Sunoo said, his voice tinged with determination. "If this is what you think is best, then I'll give it a try. I'll do my best to adapt and make the most of this new opportunity."
Aera and Mr. Kim exchanged proud smiles, their hearts swelling with love for their son. They knew the road ahead would be challenging, but they were confident in Sunoo's resilience and positive attitude.
As they embraced in a warm family hug, Sunoo couldn't help but feel a glimmer of excitement amidst the apprehension.
