❝SO... KICKED OUT OF POLICE ACADEMY I HEAR?❞
Lyra had woken up from her peaceful slumber. Five had dropped her off her apartment after the Griddy's incident. She felt like she hadn't slept in years, when it had only been a day since she had arrived.
She hadn't been to New York since she left Julliard to go fulfil her acting dreams. She had so many friends in New York that she had lost contact with because of her sudden stardom, all except one; Eudora Patch.
The two had been best friends ever since she moved to New York in '99. The two were each other's neighbours. They would hang out all the time and were there for each other. Even though the two had different interests, the two were like two peas in a pod. There wouldn't be a day where Eudora wasn't with Lyra and there wouldn't be a day where Lyra wasn't with Eudora.
The actress walked into the police station. Whispers and murmurs heard as she entered. She walked towards the woman, Dora's back facing Lyra. Lyra put her hands in Eudora's face.
"Who ever you are, take your hands away from my eyes before I tase them."
"I'm sure you wouldn't do that to your best friend," Lyra smiled and took her hands away from her.
The detective turned her body towards the actress.
"Lyra?" She stood up with a smile and the two embraced each other.
"Hey Dora," She smiled at her. She walled to the empty seat in front of her and sat down.
"Oh my God I missed you so much," Eudora smiled.
"How's modelling, how's the life of fame? Tell. Me. Everything." Dora basically almost squealed, which made Lyra chuckle.
"Well... Everything's doing great, I was about to shoot a new movie but..." She sighed, "Had to postpone," She shrugged.
"Why'd you postpone?" Dora asked her.
"Allison's father died so I had to be her emotional support," She sighed, then her face suddenly lit up.
"When I tell how awkward the reunion was."
"Tell me, tell me, tell me," The detective almost burst out of excitement.
Lyra started telling Eudora about the reunion she had yesterday. Spilling every single detail to her best friend. From her illusion making with Diego to the arrival of Five.
"So you finally met Diego," Eudora said. She had told Lyra about him when they were in some form of relationship, wishing that the model could meet her now ex boyfriend.
