Chapter 4

"Congratulations?" he had never done it with a pregnant chic but there's a first for everything. Kiara just looked at him "And it's yours."

"Fuck off."

"What?"

"What?"

"I'm the father?" he said.

"Yeah, you are."

"How the fuck did this happen."

"I don't know I thought you were wearing a condom" Kie said leaning her cheek against her palm.

"No, I wasn't."

"What??"

"You were yelling at me to do it already!" he said. Kiara buried her face in her hands "I did not mean not to wear a condom! I meant hurry up put the damn thing on oh my god!"

"I'm not good under pressure! I thought you might've been on birth control so I took your words literally and just got in there!"

"Jesus fuck..." she shook her head.

JJ sat there silent as he watched the woman who he could see was going through a wave of emotions. He sighed "I'm sorry I don't think I handled you telling me you're..." his voice trailed off. She scoffed "Yeah you could say that."

"Look, I have an appointment with the obstetrician tomorrow" She handed him a piece of paper with an address "Come or don't It doesn't matter" She stood up and started to walk off.

"You don't want to have lunch or something? and maybe talk some more you kind of just threw that shit at me you know?" he said and watched as she stopped for a moment before walking out to her car. He sighed and looked out the window shaking his head.

"Fuck."

"You okay dude?" John B said watching his friend walk into the house. JJ shook his head and grabbed the joint from his friend's hand and took a big drag of it "I'm going to be a dad dude..." he said and that seemed to sober his friend up.

"Wait what??"

"She's pregnant man" He shook his head and continued to smoke his friend's joint. John B just stared "Are you sure? maybe it was false?"

"Maybe" he shrugged "she has an appointment tomorrow... wants me to come... fuck" He set the joint down and buried his face in his hands.

"Come on cheer up man... there's a party going on down at the beach we should go maybe a few drinks will do you some good" John B said and JJ nodded "Yeah... yeah."
