Chapter 14

Since the whole bleeding incident, JJ had been coming to kies house nearly every day. And it's not like she didn't appreciate it she just felt a bit... smothered? The man would come to her house the moment he woke up and wouldn't leave until he absolutely had to. And she did think it was sweet that he was so worried, she liked seeing this new side of JJ.

"JJ you don't have to stop by every day we're fine," Kie said for practically the hundredth time in the last few days. JJ put a pillow behind her back "It's okay I don't mind."

"I don't think you're understanding me, Jay, you can leave now" She gave him a look. The blonde just stood there and stared at her before letting out a sigh "You're lucky I have to go out and do something today... but call me if you need anything okay? even if you just need me to run to the store to get you a candy bar." She gave him a smile "I know, thank you JayJ" she said and the blonde leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. This had also been a new thing the man had been doing, kissing her forehead as if he was afraid to lose her. He spared her one last glance before leaving the room.

Once she heard JJ's bike drive off she felt their daughter kick hard in her stomach. The brunette put a hand on her growing stomach and rubbed it softly "You can have your time with him all you want when you're out right now Mommy needs some mommy time" she looked down as she talked to her stomach. She felt one more bold kick before the baby settled down.

Today was a pretty exciting day for JJ, today he had officially signed and paid for his first apartment. He had never done anything like this before he always lived with his friends or his dickhead of a dad. He felt himself maturing with this next step in his life.

"Dude how much shit does this kid need," John B said as he helped carry in boxes of baby furniture that JJ had been secretly buying for the past few weeks "It's a baby, from what I read they need a lot dude" he set the boxes down in his daughter's new room. John B began opening the boxes, taking out the pieces to the crib "This seems complicated are we sure she needs a crib?" John B looked at the assembly manual for the crib. JJ just stared at him "Am I sure my daughter needs a bed? Yeah I'm pretty sure dude" the blonde shook his head. Wasn't she supposed to be the dumb one?

About twenty minutes later they managed to get most of the crib set up all that needed to be done was add to add the mattress. JJ lifted the light crib mattress that had a pink bedsheet on it and put it into the crib "god I hope she likes it" he said before putting a stuffed animal into the crib.

"Isn't the baby the size of an eggplant? I don't think she has feelings yet dude."

"Not the baby, I'm talking about Kie."

John B lay on the wood floor and covered his face with his cap "So are you two going to live here together and live happily ever after?" JJ chuckled a bit "Probably not I don't think Kie would ever go for that but you never know man" he shrugged.

"Kie!" Sarah said running into the kitchen where the pregnant woman was currently making a fruit bowl. Kie jumped a bit startled at the sudden voice before turning to her best friend "What happened?"

"Nothing, but I wanted to ask you something."

"Okay..." Kie said slowly, almost hesitant at what her friend was going to ask.

"So I have a few of my old college friends coming into town and they want to go out for drinks tonight! So I was wondering if you want to come out with us? I think it could honestly be a lot of fun plus you need more fun in your life."

"Wow Just what every pregnant woman wants to do go out with a group of people and watch them do the one thing she can't do drink!" She said sarcastically. Sarah let out a chuckle "Come on Kie it will be fun plus you can bring JJ if you want" she shrugged.

"Why would I bring JJ?"

"You said you wanted to know him better... well... more than you already do," Sarah said putting a hand on her belly. Kie rolled her eyes "I'll come if you never say that again." The blonde nodded and smiled "Great! Also, see if he will bring that cute guy we saw him with the day you got pregnant."

"You're married."

"If he can sleep with people so can I."

"He's cheating on you?"

"Well duh, how else did you think our marriage turned out so perfect."

"So she wants me and John B to come out drinking with y'all?" JJ said stuffing his hands into his pocket as he and Kie walked down the dock and to one of the local diner. JJ held the door open for the pregnant woman and they took a seat at one of the booths "Pretty much" she said picking up the menu and looking it over.

"Well... do you want me to come?" He looked up at her.

"Sure it could be fun."

"Well alright then I'm in and John B is always down to get drunk so he's probably in too."
