Part one ✨

Tuesday 7th of february

I woke up due to my alarm which was set at 6 AM. I woke up with the curtains still open and the sun shining on my face. I jumped out of my bed to take a quick shower and get ready. I put on some light make up and a cute flower dress.

I got out of my hotel room and got down to have some breakfast. There were some team members from Red Bull and Aston Martin already eating breakfast, so I greeted a couple of them.

I was putting some breakfast on my plate when i felt a presence behind me. " You're up early, do you have something to do?" Max verstappen said. " Good morning to you too, and yes I have a meeting with Ferrari in an hour". " Oh really that's exciting, what are you going to do?" Max said while looking at me weirdly. " I think i forgot to tell you, but Fred offered me a job as PR manager" I said with a huge smile on my face. " REALLY? So that means we're going to see each other a lot?" He said with a grin on his face. " I think so yes, but then we're rivals Max so don't get ahead of yourself" I winked at him and sat down to eat my breakfast.

After a while of eating Pierre came to join my table. I was a little surprised because i thought Alpine was staying at another hotel.

" Hey how are you Shan?" He said while sitting down. " Hey Tripod, I'm good how are you?" I said while laughing, clearly referring to the recent F1 youtube video. " Omg Shan, don't ever use that nickname again in public!! Anyways, i'm good!" He said while being a little embarassed.

"But what are you doing here? I thought you were staying at another hotel with Alpine?" I said with clear confusion written across my face. "Uhh yeah that's right, I slept over at someones room" " SPILL THE TEA NOW TRIPOD! Who is that "someone"?" " Uhm it's a girl I met when I was in Paris, her name is Kika. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and we get on so well. We wanted to spent some time together so i decided to sleep over at her room." He said with a smile on his face.

"Aww really that's so cute, can I meet her soon? I hope she makes you happy, you deserve a lucky charm at your race!" I said feeling happy for him. "Ofcourse you can, she is coming with me on the first race of the season. But you know you always have been my lucky charm Shan, that will not change!" "Aww Pierre that's sweet. Anyway I really have to go now, otherwise I'll be running late."

Pierre stood up and gave me a tight hug wishing me good luck on my meeting. " Call me later and let me knew how it went" " Will do, talk to you later Pierre."

And with that i left the hotel and I'm on my way to the Barcelona track. I'm meeting with Fred somewhere at the Ferrari garage.

I arrived at the track after 30 minutes. I scanned my paddock pass which Fred already sent to me to grant me access.

I have to admit I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure I will handle. I did lots of interviews/meetings anyway, so I'm a little experienced i guess.

I approached the ferrari garage and went inside where Fred was already waiting for me.

"Hello there, you must be Shannon Williams. My name is Fred Vasseur team boss of Ferrari. It's so nice to finally meet you!"

"Indeed I am, nice to finally meet you too sir!" I said still feeling a little bit nervous.

"Come on I'll show you around for a little and then we can discuss your contract" "That would be great"

He showed me around the garage of the two drivers and explained a little about the cars. After we were walking to a meeting room somewhere else. I crossed some other rooms which must be the rooms of the drivers. It said "Charles" and "Carlos" on the doors but I couldn't even think about the names before Fred called me in the room.

"So Shannon, I've seen your recent work experiences and I think you will really suit our job as a PR manager. We think you're really talented and would love to have you on our team."

He gave me the contract which was on another table. I read through the contract for a bit when suddenly my eyes stopped at the mention of the salary. My eyes went wide when i realized how much money i was going to make.

"Is something wrong with the contract?" Fred asked. He clearly saw my reaction to the salary.

"No no, everything is alright. I'm just a little surprised by the salary. I never thought you guys were going to pay me this much!" I said not feeling ashamed at all. I'm really straight forward and my heart is on my tongue.

"Ofcourse we will, you'll be working a lot and i know the drivers can be a little exhausting sometimes." He winked at me at the mention of the drivers.

"Hmm I'm always up for a little challenge" I winked back at him. His eyes fell to the signature box and I immediately set my signature on the paper.

"I'm really looking forward to work with you guys. When will I start?" I asked Fred with excitement showing in my eyes.

"The drivers will go testing the cars soon also in Spain. I will give you some free time to prepare a little and then we can start. What do you say about Monday 20th of february?"

"That sounds really good to me. I'm really excited." I said.

"Just so you know, everything will be arranged for you such as a flight, hotels and stuff, but I think you already know since you know some of the drivers."

"Yes i know, thanks for all the information and I will see you on the 20th of february!" I said and waving my goodbye.

Before I left the room Fred gave me his phone numer in case I needed anything.

I left the paddock and got back to the hotel.
