Part four ✨

I opened my door and was met with a pair of bloodshot eyes. They weren't green anymore.

Has he been crying?

Why would he cry?

'Charles? What are you doing here, are you okay?' I asked him with concern in my voice.

He didn't even respond to me. He walked right past me straight in my hotel room.

'Yeah sure, come in.' I muttered under my breath.

'Babe, I had such a hard day. I saw Shannon again today. I missed those ocean eyes so much, Char.' Charles said to me.

Okay. He clearly didn't know he was talking about me TO ME.

Why would he even talk about me to his girlfriend? I just decided to play along.

'Oh that's good isn't it? How do you feel?' I asked him, just pretending to be Charlotte.

'Yeah I guess it is. I didn't think it would bring back so many emotions. I never thought I would've missed her this much! I'm so fucking sorry for what I did to her, I never should've believed you, Charlotte.'

Before I could even respond he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me in a tight hug. I shouldn't enjoy the feeling of being in his arms.

Although, he thinks hes hugging Charlotte.

He let go of me and looked me in the eyes. Suddenly realisation hit him and he got up to walk towards the door. He reached for the door handle when he turned around one last time.

'Everything what I said was true Shannon.." I saw tears starting to form in his eyes. He realised and pulled the door open.

There i was. Sitting on my bed confused as fuck.

I decided it would be best to sleep now and just forget about this.

But I couldn't get the feeling of his hands around my waist out of my head.

I closed my eyes and dozed off to sleep, thinking about this hectic evening.

The next morning I woke up to my alarm which I set on 7 AM. Today was another day of work! I'm really hoping this day is going to be different.

I slowly got out of my bed and put on my Ferrari merch. HIHIHIHI. I put my hair in a high ponytail and put on some mascara.

Isa asked me yesterday if we could have breakfast together to chat a little. When I walked towars the elevator, I saw that Carlos was also waiting there. I decided to jump on his back.

'Jesus fucking christ, Shannon! You scared me to death!' It sounds so funny with a Spanish accent.

'My apologies Mr. Sainz. '

'No need to be this formal now, dummy. Where are you off to this early in the morning?' He asked.

'I'm going to grab breakfast with Isa. I figured she would tell you?' That's weird.

'Oh, maybe she forgot to mention. Anyway, have fun. I'll see you at the track later?'

'Duhhhhh!!' I said while waving goodbye to him.

I got to the restaurant near the track where Isa was already waiting for me. We ordered our food and it came in like 10 minutes. If that isn't a good service then I don't know what it is.

When we were eating, some team members were passing us and waved to us. Suddenly a whole group of red dressed team members passed our table. They all waved to us. That's when I noticed Charles was walking with them. I could tell he was nervous. I don't know if it was about me because of our situation yesterday night or about testing the car for the first time.

Isa seemed to notice our kind of weird interaction and spoke up. 'Is there something going on between you and Charles?' She asked causing me to turn my head in less than a second.

'What? Why would there be something going on between us? I met him yesterday.' I said now feeling nervous too.

'I may not know you for a long time, but I can tell there is something going on. Did you perhaps know who Charles was before you 'met' yesterday?' Isa asked. Why the fuck can this girl see right trough me? Am I that obvious?

'Huh? No? Why would we?' I said trying to play it cool.

'It's all falling into it's place now! This weird interaction with you and his girlfriend! Is she jealous of you?' Wtf.

'Okay, FINE! Yes, I knew him before this. And I don't know if his girlfriend is jealous of me. I really don't care.' I said, feeling somewhat relieved to talk to someone about this.

'Girl, spill it right now. I wanna know everything!' She urged me to go on with my story, so I told her everything.

Oh boy, when I say her jaw was on the damn floor. Which doesn't surpise me by the way.
