Part Sixteen ✨

Charles POV

I woke up with my son and Shannon in my arms. Today it was race day and I was starting from pole position. I couldn't be happier with all this.

We all got dressed and headed to the track together. I didn't care about the rumours about me and Jules, I'm happy in this moment.

I'm gonna win for my son.

I can't lie, it came as a shock to me when I saw Shannon walking in with Jules. I immediately saw Jules was her son, they shared the same features.

I didn't have to figure out for long who the father could be. He had the exact same features as me. He looked around 4 years old, which means she was pregnant when I left her. She never got the chance to tell me because of my stupid actions. I wanted to share that moment with her so badly and I have the feeling I really failed Shannon and my son.

Maybe there will be a time where I can experience this feeling with her. I'm gonna do everything in my power to make them happy.

I took Jules and Shannon to my drivers room so they could be with me a little longer before I had to get ready.

Shannon put Jules on my chouch and gave him his Ipad so he could play some games. I smiled at her interacting with our son. She noticed and walked over to where I was. She put her hands around my neck and checked if Jules was watching us, which he didn't so she gave me a long kiss on my lips.

"I'm so sorry for not being there for you. I'm gonna make up the time I missed with the two of you" I gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"Jules would love that. " She showed me her pretty smile and I got mesmerized.

"Can you tell me a little about the pregnancy?" I asked her with pleading eyes. We walked away from Jules so he couldn't hear all this. I'm really desperate to know everything.

"Ofcourse. So, It actually all began with me begin sick in the morning and my belly started to grow. Morning sickness can be a sign that you're pregnant and it never went away. I went to the hospital and they told me I was pregnant but it was still early. I immediately knew you were the father because you were the only one I had sex with" She bit her lip nervously and I could see she was a bit ashamed to admit this to me. I walked closer to her and stroked her cheek gently. This seemed to calm her down so she continued talking.

"I was around 15 weeks when I wanted to tell you, but I just didn't have the balls. I was really scared of how you were gonna react, because we were just best friends at the time. When I finally had the courage to tell you, I made my way to your house but Charlotte opened the door. Well, we all know how that turned out." She sighed heavily and I could see she was having a hard time with this.

"Baby, if it's too much for you, we can talk another time" I reassured her and took her in my arms. I stroked her hair for a little when she pulled away.

"No. I wanna do this. So, when we didn't speak to each other anymore, I was really scared and hopeless. I was just twenty years old and I was gonna have a child alone. But I decided against it and kept the baby. It was obviously the best choice I ever made. A couple of weeks later I found out I was having a boy and I knew by the second how I was gonna name him. You were always very special to me and still are. I wanted to cherish Jules Bianchi, so I named our son after him. My parents and friends were all by my side for the whole journey, so luckily I never felt alone."

"Thankyou for telling me this. It feels like I relived it." I gave her a kiss on her mouth and pulled her closer to me, if that was even possible.

We walked back to were Jules was sitting and he didn't even notice us coming back, he was too caught up on his Ipad. It was cute.
