Serving

I was serving drinks in Greasy Diner, as I would usually do. It was my job, as I needed to money to rent out a cheap motel room until I got my first pay check of my main job. I worked as an assistant of a huge company and luckily, it wasn't that far from where I lived, it was in a different state though, just not far away.

A man with a trench coat came in, he was incredibly handsome, had fluffy brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, the way he dressed was so formal. Looking at him I realised it was the man that lived in the woods, he was a scientist, and he would usually go out and explore the town for knew anomalies to study. I cleaned the counter, after accidentally spilling some apple juice that I made for a five year old kid. I've always wanted a child, but I'll probably never get the chance to raise one. He waited patiently as I finished cleaning up, throwing the wet paper towels into the bin.

"Sorry about that sir, what would you like?" I asked approaching him from behind the counter.

"Can I have a black coffee, two teaspoons of sugar please?" He asked, his voice was deep, and suited him well.

"Of course sir! That would be $1.50!" I replied as he handed me the money. I put it in the cash register, and went to go make his coffee. The other waiters and waitresses were busy taking orders leaving me to serve the customers from behind the counter. I made his black coffee, putting exactly two teaspoons of sugar in. I gave it a mix, making sure the sugar dissolved first, then handed it to him.

"Thank you Y/N." He looked down at my name and smiled. "Beautiful name." I blushed looking down at the counter.

"Thank you sir." I thanked him, as my friend, who also works at the came from around the corner.

"Y/N." I looked up at him, my face still red, Stanford still there, smiling.

"Yes Grease?" I asked Rhys wondering what he wanted. I always called him grease, because of his really greasy hair in high school. It was because of hormones but it was still funny. Very funny.

"Lewis wanted me to give you this." He threw a small box at me, and I caught it, almost missing it.

"He also said to open it when you get back to the motel."

"Why?"

"I don't know, he didn't tell me." He shrugged going back to work, taking orders and giving them to the chefs so their orders can be fulfilled.

"Alright then." I turned back to Stanford, he still stood there. "Anything else sir?" I asked, as he took a swig of his coffee putting the mug back on the counter.

"Can I have another one?" He asked again.

"If you drink this much caffeine and sugar, you're going to have a heart attack by the time your forty." I joked, giving a little laugh, as I went to go make another coffee for him. He was actually pretty adorable and handsome with his hair and facial features. His six fingers made him stand out the most, it was extraordinary, and stood out from the others. I came back and he handed me another $1.50 for the coffee. He finished it within two swigs and placed it back down onto the counter.

"Thanks again." He smiled as he left, giving me a little wave. I blushed and waved back, as Clementine came out of nowhere.

"Awww someone has a crush." Clem whispered into my ear.

"I do not Clem."

"Yes you do."

"Don't." I put the mini box in my pocket, and looked at the clock seeing if it was my time to leave, as it felt like ages had past, well that was until Stanford came and I served him. Time went unbelievably fast.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Stanford proceeded to come in for the next few weeks, casually striking up a conversation while I served him. We got to know each other on a better level, it was enjoyable seeing someone have the same interests as me when it comes to space. I also got my first pay checks as an assistant. I must admit it was a lot of money, almost a million each. I saved up for a house, which now I could easily afford, but I decided to live in the motel for a bit longer, trying to find the right house fit for me. I also started catching feelings for the nerd.

While I went shopping I would think about him, when I was working as an assistant I would think about him. I thought about him everywhere, did I really have a crush on a reoccurring customer?

Yes, yes I did.

I served him again, talking about how our days have been when he asked me something.

"Hey, uh- can I- maybe uhm ask you a uh question." I found it really adorable when he stuttered.

"Of course, go for it!" I giggled lightly, smiling at him.

"Can we maybe uh, hang out at where the UFO crash landed today?" He blurted out, obviously embarrassed.

"Of course, what time?" I asked, as he stared down at the counter.

"Seven, is that okay?" He asked not daring to meet my eyes.

"Yeah, I'm free." I saw Clem looking right at me, so I flipped her off, wanting her to not ruin the moment.

"Alright, see you then." He finished leaving, he finally looked at me waving. I waved back at him. He was such a dork, and I loved him for it.

I got dressed in a beautiful silk dress/suit and hiked up the mountain, to see Ford in a suit. I smiled at him, as he blushed.

"Hello Stanford." I walked towards him, he looked dumbfounded.

"You look beautiful."

"Thank you, you look very handsome sir." I joked, remembering that inside joke I blurted out one day by accident. We both laughed about it. We sat down never the edge, and watched the stars, oh yeah, and I forgot to mention it was already set up beautifully. The blanket, the petals. It was as if he set up a beautiful date.

"Hey I have a question?" He looked up at the stars as he spoke.

"Yes?" I asked looking at him.

"Would you maybe want to - uh go out with me, it's okay if not it's just you know I-." I stopped his rambling on as I entwined my fingers in his. They were soft and gentle.

"Of course I would." I smiled as he looked at me, when I spoke. I faced him, a wide smile appeared on his face. At the same time, we both leaned in and kissed one another, hands still embraced.

And that's how I met and got together with Ford. Mabel jumped in the air, Stan looked surprised about how a dork like Ford could ask a girl out. Ford's same smile that I described in that story came again. His eyes glistened and his hands slithered around my waist, pulling me in. Dipper looked somewhat discussed but surprised at the same time and Soos, well he was just Soos. The same old lovable twenty two year old man-child.

My hands were placed on Ford's chest, as I placed my lips against his soft ones he didn't hesitate to kiss back. Mabel screamed and continued to jump up.

"I love you." I said breathlessly, pulling away.

"Love you mi amor." Ford replied stroking my cheek delicately.
