"Stanford!" My wife exclaimed as I made myself a cup of coffee, I looked at her, sniffling a tad. "I told you to go back to bed!" She replied, walking over to me. "You're sick!"

"No I'm not?" I questioned, attempting to hide the fact that I was. I took a sip of my coffee, to stop myself from coughing.

"Yes you are." She replied, looking at me. She gently grabbed the coffee from my hands, placing it on the counter, before holding my hands, looking at me worriedly. "It's quite obvious. I can tell by the look in your eyes. You're also incredibly pale." I sighed, giving her a kiss on the forehead, pressing my head up again hers.

"I'm okay." I hugged her, her head resting on my shoulder. "I'm alright." I said, kissing her cheek softly, not wanting to cough in her face, which would then prove that I was sick.

"Are you sure. You look pale. As if you are about to faint." She said, looking up at me. I reached down and kissed her. Trying to stop her from worrying.

"I'm completely fine love." I kissed her cheek again. Smiling. She still looked worried, but she looked like she brought it. Even though I felt dizzy, as if I was about to faint.

"Okay...I love you." She said giving me another hug.

"I love you too my darling." Y/N rested her head passionately on my chest. I rocked her back and forth, holding her waist in place. "I'm okay. Go back to bed sweetie. You're still sick." She looked up at me. She too, was pale. I gave her another kiss on the cheek, before picking her up, because she fell asleep on my chest. I brought her upstairs, while my body ached. I gently placed her down not wanting to wake her up. I gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, before walking off back to the kitchen, to grab my coffee. Even after a few days she still wasn't right. I grabbed my coffee, taking a sip, it was still hot. I sat in my thinking parlour, not wanting to go into the basement, just incase she threw up, or decided to get out of bed, and fainted. I placed my cup on the desk, writing in my journal. When all of a sudden I felt the urge to throw up, I swallowed it back down, not wanting to wake up Y/N and prove her right. The thinking parlour and the bathroom were below our room, so me throwing up would be quite loud. I held my breath, distracting myself by writing in my journal, about previous adventures, that I didn't have chance to write. I added a few additions to previous pages in invisible ink. When I started to choke, that must have woken Y/N up, as I heard her run downstairs, and speed in to the thinking parlour. She sped walked towards me, standing on her tip-toes towering over me. I looked up at her, she too looked pale.

"I told you, you're even more pale now than earlier." She said, meeting my eyes. I was still resisting the urge to throw up. I clenched my pen, trying to fight the pain in my stomach and lungs. The horrible tickling feeling when you are trying to hold your cough in getting worse and worse as she stared into my soul.

"And I told you, I'm completely, utterly, totally fine." I replied, my voice cracking a few times. She rolled her eyes, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"You wish." She sighed, moving a few books and papers away. She turned around and lifted herself up onto the desk. She turned her head, to face mine. I was still resisting the urge to throw up and cough. "Honestly you look as if you are going to throw up." I rolled my eyes and scoffed.

"I'm not about to throw up." I winced at the pain in my throat. The burning sensation in both my chest and my throat. I scratched my chest, attempting to swallow down the sick.

"You are, I can see it in your eyes." She kicked her feet, moving her hair out of her face. I couldn't help but smile. She made me feel better no matter the circumstances.

"Y/N. I'm okay. Please." I got up and kissed her cheek, tucking her hair behind her ear. I kissed her lips gently, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Stanford. I'm worried." She broke the kiss, her forehead resting against my shoulder. "You look dangerously pale." She muffled, wrapping my arms around my waist. At this point I thought I was going to throw up years worth of acid. But I had to keep it down. As I had work to do. "Please." The pain in her voice was undeniable. I sighed, as I felt the puke arise. I turned around unwrapping my arms from around her first. I ran to the bathroom, and knelt over the toilet. I threw up, as Y/N came running into the bathroom. "Told you." She said, kneeling next to me, holding my hand looking at me.

"But-."

"We could both use a few days off love." She kissed my cheek squeezing my hand slightly.

"I'm fine darling." I insisted, as she grabbed some toilet paper, wiping my mouth.

"I've just seen you throw up your breakfast and look as pale an old frail person that's about to die. So please, have a rest for once. You're scaring me." My eyes widened at the last, she was scared that I was going to get worse, from overworking. I sighed, and scratched my neck, feeling guilty."

"Okay. Fine." I managed to say before throwing up again. She wiped my nose and mouth. My god was she the best wife ever. I got up, walking to the sink. I washed my face and hands, drying them with a towel.

"Thank you darling." She replied smiling, giving me a kiss on the cheek. She grabbed my hand, and I walked with her to bed. "I'mma get a bowl really quickly, just in case you throw up." She said, I nodded, as I got into bed. About thirty seconds later she came back, holding a pink plastic bowl. She placed it on the table next to me, before getting into bed. "I knew I could get you to rest." She giggled, as I put an arm around her waist.

"Ah well." I shrugged, pulling her in so her head rested on my chest. She snuggled down, wrapping an arm around me. Closing her eyes.

"I love you Fordsie." She said, before quietly snoring, drifting off to sleep.

"I love you too Y/N." I replied before doing the same.
