A/N: omg, i'm alive?? what a surprise!!

as usual this isn't beta read and i'm sorry for the super long delay. i was very productive last week, so obviously that means i'm not allowed to be this week...

"Wait," Liam said, trying to get ahold of this new information. "So Josh just ditched him? After everything they've been through together? How could he do that to him? he asked, confused.

Multiple emotions coursed throughout him.

Of course, what Liam had really wanted to ask was 'how could Theo do that to him?'

Mason had warned him about the boy from the very start, and as usual, his best friend was right, but he just couldn't help himself.

Upon their first introduction, Theo had seemed rather creepy, what with the whole following him around thing.

Then, there was the boy's overall personality, which had only led Liam to believe in Mason's whole stereotypical egomaniac jerk description even more.

Except, once he'd basically been forced into spending time with him, it soon quickly became volunteral after realizing who Theo actually was and just how wrong Mason was or had been.

Theo had turned out to be the complete opposite of his given warning signs, showing Liam nothing apart from how kind and caring he could be, well when he wanted to be that was.

In fact, the way the other boy had been so open with him had made Liam believe that he could trust him.

This caused him to let his guard down and do something that seemed beyond crazy to him, letting someone else in.

He'd let Theo in, allowed him to see the real him or at least part of it.

So imagine how hurt he was to find out that someone he thought was different from all the others wasn't actually so different after all. Except, he was just like them, just like Brett, if not exactly like Brett.

Why couldn't he just be right for once and find the right person to trust instead of the wrong one?

It was like the universe have something against him and being happy.

Did it?

Stupid universe.

Another thing that Liam didn't really understand was the concept of high school drama.

The whole everybody always being down each other's throats and forcing their 'friends' to pick a side stuff.

Real friends wouldn't force their friends to pick a side because they'd trust that their friend would pick theirs.

Oh.

He only realised that he'd accidentally zoned out when Mason was answering his questions and rather vaguely too, if he might add.

"I don't know either, man. It's not exactly as if I have any other insider information apart from what Corey is willing to share with me," Mason explained.

"And all he told me is what I've already told you. They got real close, and then the next day, he was being dismissed, like he didn't exist to them."

"How would they be so cruel and hurt him like that?" he questioned.

"I literally just explained this to you," Mason replied, glaring at him for not paying attention. "I don't know either, dude. Now, could you please at least try to keep up?"

"Yea- sorry," Liam mumbled as he nodded his head, slightly embarrassed. "So what are we going to do now?"

"Nothing."
