It was a beautiful day...the first time they were at the waterfall....time for a nice glide to watch the base of the fall....a dream of a lifetime she was about to check off of her bucket list! But there was a catch....

She stood at the cliff....she had trained to be there for years...she sacrificed many things to get there...time, love, all to build herself up...and Finally..she had what she needed, her beautiful wings to fly across this beautiful scenic place and into the waters that would take her to the beautiful ocean, full of a world she had yet to explore and see....

She looked to her side...friends, family...some of them who wanted to visit the evergreens...some wanting to sky dive instead...everyone wanted to do something different.

She wanted to go with them...see them, enjoy and relish them. Yet, she knew she wanted to see the ocean the most. The water glimmered as the rays of the sun and the wind danced across the surface.

A tear rolled down her cheek, standing at the cliff, her legs felt heavy...she wanted to see the bottom of the ocean, see the corals, the colourful oceanic life....she never thought she was capable of...yet something held her back. Everyone urged her to go on! Take a dive, even those friends who she cherished and knew she wouldn't be seeing once she took the leap...they all cheered her no matter what decision she took..yet another tiny drop of tear rolled down her face.

She just couldn't do it....what if...what if I take the wrong decision....what if I'll regret possibly never getting to see them again....

another voice in her head whispered, don't they say? Being independant is important...

so how could she possibly go against something that's good for her...that ocean below her, it beckoned her. She knew it was the right thing to dive.

She knew relationships, they're never permanent. The only permanent relationship is with herself. She had made a promise to herself, she had to watch her own back. There is no other choice, any other choice would leave a bitter taste in her mouth if those people she decided to stay behind for, didn't want to keep her in their life due to reasons unknown.

She knelt at the rocks, head hanging low...her eyes watching the waves crash against the shore through a curtain of watery eyes.

She knew deep down, the only way forward that wouldn't break her heart was to take that leap of faith into the ocean below. But that would break several hearts that did want her to stay back with them. Some who would have been her best of friends, and life support depending on the choice she was about to make. But those were all "what ifs" no one "promised" to stay by her side yet, so why did she feel the need to stay by theirs? She thought to herself.

And with just one life to live, it felt overwhelming to choose being lonely in her success, or surrounded by things her heart craved while not living to her highest potential....

There was no right choice, life is like that sometimes isn't it?
