The bustling film set buzzed with activity as the director and the rest of the crew prepared for the upcoming scene. Dio, dressed in his character's sleek attire, stood to the side, engrossed in reading the script for "infinite shadows." His intense gaze scanned the pages, committing every line and nuance to memory.

As Dio immersed himself in the world of Kurogane Hayato, Ai, with a mischievous smile, approached him with a makeup kit in hand. She had already worn the attire of her character, Sakura Tanaka, a white lab coat hugging her slender body with a pencil skirt and black turtleneck sweater that paired along well with the silver, circular glasses on her face.

"Hey Y/N-kun~~," she called out to him, earning her a sideways glance and an eye roll, making her pout. "Let me do your makeup."

"Do what you want." Dio replied, carefully flipping through his script with his lips moving occasionally, getting in the feel for his lines.

As Ai leaned in closer, her delicate touch brushed against Dio's skin, her fingers tracing gentle strokes with the makeup brush. Their proximity created an intimate atmosphere, as if they were in their own private world amidst the bustling set. Their eyes met briefly, a silent understanding passing between them, as if they shared a secret language known only to them.

Without wasting another second, Ai grabbed a different color of eyeshadow and began applying it to Dio's intricate eyelids. Dio's normally aloof expression softened slightly, his guarded facade momentarily lifted as he allowed Ai's presence to wash over him.

They moved in sync, their movements harmonious and fluid, as if they had done this countless times before. Whenever Ai reached for something, Dio would hand it over, and whenever Dio would sigh, Ai would hold up his water bottle bottle for him to take a sip.

As the makeup application continued, snippets of conversation drifted between them, each word carefully chosen and laced with an underlying familiarity.

"You seem oddly comfortable with this," Ai remarked with a playful grin, her voice barely above a whisper.

Dio deadpanned for a moment, his mind wandering back to his time as a vampire lord where he had learned how to apply makeup on himself to make sure he always looked his best.

"Hmph, this is nothing worth fussing about." He replied with a frown. "Makeup is necessary for one to be the best version of themselves, and I, naturally, would know of this."

"You don't need makeup to look good," Ai mumbled with a subtle pout.

"Yes, you do. If not, then why was it created?"

"Are you telling me I don't look beautiful without makeup?"

"...No comment, I sense I've made a mistake of some kind."

Kana, Aqua, and Ruby huddled together in a corner of the set, their voices hushed with curiosity and confusion. They whispered among themselves, their eyes darting between Dio and Ai. Aqua, his brow furrowed, couldn't help but question the unusual dynamic unfolding before them.

It wasn't only the three of them but entire crew that frantically moved around, making sure everything was in the right place for their scenes. Even though they were in the middle of work, they still couldn't shake off the curiosity inside themselves as they carefully watched the two, wondering what their relationship could be.

"What's going on with Ai and D—Y/N?" Aqua murmured, his voice barely audible above the bustling of the crew.

"I don't know," Kana replied, her eyes wide with intrigue. "But it seems like Ai is enjoying herself. Look at that grin."

Ruby, ever the observant one, chimed in with a playful glint in her eyes. "I think M—Ai might be secretly enjoying the moment with him. After all, he isn't really the friendliest person in the world."

Aqua tilted his head, a perplexed expression crossing his young features. "But why? I thought they were just friends."

Kana shrugged, her curiosity piqued."I don't know what kind of relationship they have, but from the way I looked at it earlier, they were already that close."

"Eh?"

"Really?"

Aqua and Ruby exclaimed in shock and sandwiched Kana, alarming her. "What do you mean?" Ruby asked, clearly concerned with the meaning behind her words.

"Well... it just looked like they were really close when I first saw them." Kana muttered quietly, not wanting random people hearing what she said. "Plus... I don't know if it's the heat, but Ai had been blushing a lot when Dio faced her."

Aqua and Ruby felt like the entire world crumbled down on top of them as they slowly turned their heads towards Ai and Dio.

"Ai Hoshino, I said no."

"Eh? But purple would look cute on you!"

"My role is to be dark and mysterious, not cute!"

"We can just remove the eyeshadow after I take a picture of you!"

"No! Get off of me!"

Dio yelled, struggling to keep the brush away from Ai, who had completely abandoned common sense and was now kneeling on top of Dio's lap, trying her best to reach out to the makeup tool to no avail.

"...Ai and Dio.." Ruby mumbled with a grim expression on her face. "I called Dio dad just to spite on him, but what happens if he actually becomes my dad."

"This is bad... I never thought of the possibility that he could have charmed Ai. Well, I should have thought of it since Ai is just a normal girl after all, but still." Aqua mumbled lifelessly.

"What's up with you two..." Kana deadpanned at them before heaving a sigh. "You guys act like you're Ai's children or something."

Kana's words were like a dagger to not only Aqua and Ruby, but to Ai and Dio as well, who seemingly stared at each other for a second before looking back at the three of them with worried expressions on their faces.

'Crap, were we too obvious?'

'Oh no, Aqua told me to keep it a secret, but maybe I slipped?'

'Did I hear right? Did she figure it out? She's just a child though, how did she figure it out?'

'Should I murder Kana Arima to keep the secret hidden? I might need to murder everyone else here if that's the case'

"Well, that's just a joke. Ai wouldn't have kids in the first place since she's got a career to keep." Kana shrugged and walked off, heading towards the director who was busy instructing people.

'Phew, made it by.'

'That was close'

'Right... career'

'Hmm, she survives. For now,'

Dio thought to himself before deadpanning at Ai, "Get off of m—.. nevermind."

He sighed inwardly to himself as he opened the script book once again, focusing on memorizing his lines instead of wasting his energy on getting the slightly depressed Ai from his lap.

'How can I read these if all I see is her hair.'
