"Cousin, it's so nice to see you again!" Sirius declared as he re-entered the room upon the arrival of the infamous Narcissa Malfoy.
"You too as well, Sirius. How have you been holding up?" She asked pleasantly as she walked over and gave him a hug.
"Doing well." Sirius replied coolly as they broke away from the hug. Narcissa did a sharp 360° turn to face Harry before smiling and walking over.
"You must be Harry Potter! Oh, Draco told me about you." She exclaimed brightly as a walked over and bent down to look at Harry who was sitting on the couch.
"Uh, all good things I presume?" Harry asked jokingly, but it was hesitant and awkward. He wasn't used to this much closeness from a stranger. He had never encountered her before except in the newspapers. He knew she was a Trauma Healer at St. Mungos but that's about it.
Narcissa only hummed non-committal to his question before brushing his hair away and looking at his scar. Harry froze, he wasn't expecting anyone to touch his scar. Her finger traced it before she backed off slowly. He didn't know how to feel.
"Narcissa, your work isn't in my godson it's in his parents." Sirius said distracting her, he obviously sensed Harry's discomfort.
"Yes! Take me to to will you." She replied excitedly as she followed Remus and Sirius up the stairs. Harry didn't know what to think of her. She seemed... bubbly. Unlike anything he experienced from the Malfoy family before. But in the pictures, hell, even in real life she seemed so elegant. She is elegant, Harry surmised. And gentle, he added on. She didn't seem to have any evil intentions towards Harry, at least that is what he thought... or hoped. After a while, Harry cautiously walked up the stairs and onto the upper level when he heard sound of what seemed like to be an argument. A long corridor awaited him and a door was open to his far right. He assumed it was the door his parents were in and walked in.
There, Narcissa, Remus and Sirius were standing over two beds which contained his parents. There were glass containers floating above their filled with different colored sand and odd circle and star shaped patched connected to their bodies. A little blue screen was floating in the air to their right with what he assumed to be live diagrams of their vitals displayed on it.
Narcissa cast a few spells with a swoop of her wand before sighing deeply before speaking, "There is a lot of damage. I might be able fix them physically but mentally, that's a whole other issue. Dear, I don't know if I'm even able to commit to this one-woman operation."
"But you have to try, right?" Remus stated desperately, it came out as more of a question than anything else.
"Look at them! Do you know how many Healers work together to heal one person. A whole group! I can't- I can't promise to heal them all the way, and I certainly can't do it all by myself." She cried second guessing her handiwork."We could help." Sirius stated.
"No! I don't trust the lot of you at all! Especially in a procedure this complex." She sighed once more before continuing, "If you truly want a chance at their survival, I need to contact my team. I thought the damage might be minimal, like it was for you. But they are obviously injured beyond repair." Sirius hissed at the comment. He didn't want anyone else involved. They went back and forth on it for a while. Sirius demanding that they will do anything, anything to heal them, but on the basis that none should know of their existence.
Narcissa finally placed hand on his shoulder and comforted him, "I can fix them, but, I can't do it alone. And I won't risk further damage by using your help. I know a few people. They are just like us, but you need to listen to me." She placated.
Sirius gave a dejected look before backing down. She looked at Remus and he only gave a silent nod.
"So you can't heal them by yourself?" Harry asked, confused by the whole operation. What did she mean by 'like us'?
